Are you the one to take home the one, amazing pup left from our gorgeous litter of German Shorthair Pointers? They are currently 7 weeks old, had their first shots and will be ready to go home this weekend. We had them all sold but one buyer had to back out do to some circumstances. That means we have have 1 incredible male left (the FIRST PICK) and he is going to make a great dog!
Both Makai's sire and dam came from Upland Hills Kennels in Port Angeles, Washington and have pedigrees well lauded and recognized for their hunting and field trial skills, carrying multiple champion and dual champion awards. The sire of the puppies (Makai was flown to Las Vegas for the breeding) has a line heralding a notable pedigree with many champion dogs as well. More than for hunting, however, these hunter/companion dogs make exceptional family companions! Both lines are noted for their great temperaments, a strong desire to serve and please, and remarkable ease of training. Even Makai's direct sister at three-years-old is a full-time service dog! Makai and the sire are both perfectly adept at family life and the expectation is that the pups will be as well.
In regard to soundness and health, and according to our vet who oversees multiple GSP kennels in our area, Makai has been described as exceptionally beautiful and perfectly proportioned. She weighs in right at 50 lbs and stands 23 inches at the withers. Her AKC hip x-rays came back as good and both her line and the sire's have no notable history of genetic abnormalities, nor is there any record of cancer in the line. The sire stands at 22 inches and weighs in at around 45 lbs so the puppies should come out to a breed-standard, ideal size.
No matter where you live (within the US), if you are interested in owning a wonderful family dog with great hunting potential, give me a call to talk about it. They are not for everyone, of course, and we really care about the kind of home the puppies go to. But it is always fun to brag and I could probably help you figure out if this beautiful male would be a good fit for you. Hurry, though, because he is the last one remaining of this great cross!
