About Coraschatten

Deutsch Langhaars bred for feather, fur, and family.

Deutsch Langhaars are versatile dogs that are expected to point, track, and retrieve on land and water. Our dogs are held to the highest standards before they can be bred. Each of our langhaars must prove themselves in hunting tests, a conformation show, and actual hunting in the field before they can be bred. We also only breed langhaars that exhibit the calm, cooperative temperament that the breed is known for. Our goal is to provide hunters with a beautiful, calm, and talented gundog that even the most novice of handlers can train to the highest levels.

Our puppies are only sold to hunting homes with preference being given to owners who also commit to testing their puppy. We require all of our puppy owners to test their puppy through the JGHV (German testing system).

Please visit our website at http://www.coraschatten.com for more information about the breed and our dogs in particular. You can also visit the Deutsch Langhaar-Gruppe Nordamerika website at www.dl-gna.org for more information about the breed.

Scott and Courtney are AMAZING breeders with a proven committment to the breed. We picked up our new fur baby two days ago and she's everything we dreamed she could be. Exceptionally intelligent, calm for an 8 week old puppy and very easy to house train. We can't wait to see how she develops as a gun dog! You will not be disappointed in the communication they maintain with you, we've waited nearly 3 years to get this breed and it's worth the wait!

Scott and Cortney really are exceptional breeders. They posted weekly pictures of our pup while he was still with his mother and they keep and publish impeccable records on their litters (pictures, test scores, etc.) Their litters tend to be very consistent.

Our male was whelped in October 2011 and we could not be happier with his natural abilities/ instinct and his temperment. He has a switch that makes him a nut in the field and a quiet baby in the house. We receive nothing but compliments on him from family, friends and trainers.
