Rainmaker Labs began as a chance purchase of a "backyard" breeder Lab pup that became an AKC Senior Hunter and introduced me to the world of Hunt Tests and all the amazing things these dogs can do. It has become an all-encompassing activity to work with and raise well-bred, healthy Labradors that can do the work they were created for and love doing it while also being excellent companion dogs. I train and title my dogs before breeding to make sure they have the necessary skills I want in a dog, as well as obtain health clearances. I worked for a vet and saw many breeder disasters every day of the week, from bad hips to bad skin to bad temperaments. I breed to males that have earned working titles and have good personalities as well as being healthy to produce dogs that can take a day in the field and come home to the family. My dogs all live in my house and the pups are raised there too, becoming very socialized and introduced to many stimuli. I have 5-7 litters per year of all three colors, chocolate, black and yellow (with fox reds). I have a comprehensive website with copies of pedigrees, health clearances, photos, guarantee, etc.

Hello,

I wanted to write a quick testimonial about Kim and her kennel.

We purchased a Female Fox Red Lab "Blaze" from her this past month. From Start to Finish professionalism, understanding, and patience was shown to us.

Kim's husband Mike met us to drop off dog here in Iowa, the drive was a good one for him and we appreciate the flexibility he had to get Blaze to us.

We love Blaze, she is a great dog, friendly with others, even though she's a little older, she has a ton of heart and drive, retrieving everything I throw!

All her health clearances were done before we got her, and we do plan on breeding her soon. She is healthy and full of life!

I got my precious 1 1/2 yr old female Chocolate lab from Rainmakers. WE were very pleased the way she kept in touch with us on the progress with our puppy as we were waiting to have her for our own. Beretta( our pups name), is a very well behaved, very smart lab, and very very beautiful, her coat is shiny, everything is great. We did alot of reasearch (like for months) before we decided where to get our pup, and Rainamkers was the one we are so happy we went with!!

Let me say that I am not a well versed person in breeders or kennels. However, with that said I must say everything that I've read on Rainmaker Labs web page and my conversations with the owner via the telephone and emails I found to be true and then some.
The owner kept me well informed with emails and photos of my pup's progression from day one to week ten when I was able pick up my pup. My pup is one happy, healthy full of life beautiful cocolate lab that I am very pleased with. Although only ten weeks of age it is clear to see that my pup is one smart dog.
During my visit to pick up my pup it was you could see that Rainmaker Lab dogs have their own happy personalities.
I would highly recommend to those looking for a lab pup to take a good look at this breeder. I believe you'll have a very positive experience.
