About Labrdogs Kennel
NOTICE: I have updated my email address and John Niemeyer is no longer associated with this Labrdogs Kennel.
My next breeding is still up in the air for January 2013.
I am a small breeder with well loved canine companions. The pups are all in the home. Currently I have 7 adult pups residing with me. I borrow space from them. They are my life. One of the adult pups was my personal service dog until she retired, while I have also bred and raised a few others she was by my side at all times. When I look at the sire and dam the first thoughts on the the personalities, trainability, drive. While looks are important, temperment and trainability are even more important when breeding for hunting and service dogs.
The puppies are raised right in the home so when I say family raised I mean it. I don't believe in outdoor kennels or puppy sheds. I feel that this disconection prevents the proper socialization needed in raising a well rounded puppy. I take the pups out from just days old on car rides and even strolls through public places. All of this early imprinting aids in the development of a well rounded and well adjusted puppy. I am in the puppy pen sleeping with them from the moment they are whelped and then move to the bedroom with us after a week of age at night. The pups start potty training by 4-5 weeks of age. Introduction to live birds, when available, and wings which also helps to imprint.
If you are looking for a puppy to add to your family that is already started in birds, obedience, and house training we are your family. We have been many times asked how we are able to give up our babies and all I reply is, " the face you have. I remember the feelings I had when I picked up my new baby" and once the family leaves I cry not for the puppy but for the joy that I know this pup is going to bring to the family.

Submitted by: Jean Morris on Feb 06, 2010After our beloved Rosie died last October, we couldn't wait to add a new lab to our family. I found CanineKids website and there was this adorable little ball of fur that we just had to meet. Little Minnie Mouse was just what our broken hearts needed. We took her home and now "Sadie" has become an integral part of our family. It's easy to see why Gina's dogs are so wonderful. They are born into an atmosphere where they are shown what it's like to be part of a family. Thank you for producing such a wonderful dog. Don and Jean Morris, Hayward, WI
Submitted by: Patricia Peterson on Jan 15, 2010When we lost our lab last summer, we were heartbroken and missed having a "Labby" in our home. We purchased our puppy Cutler in the Fall of 2009 from Gina and John. After looking at a number of breeders, we were impressed by their dedication to their dogs and to breeding intelligent and good natured dogs. After alot of correspondence with Gina, we drove up from the Chicagoland area to meet May's last litter of pups. I sat in the middle of 11 pups with May on my lap and was immediately won over. We picked Cutler (one of the chocolates) and brought him home a little past his 8 week birthday. We were very impressed by Gina and John's care in evaluating us as potential owners and as well as how socialized the pups were already before going to their new homes. I remember the day we went to pick up Cutty, sitting in the warm fall sunshine with Gina and John talking dogs while the litter played around us. I think John had two pups at all times napping in his lap. These puppies were part of their family.
Every day with Cutler has been joy. He is good natured, intelligent and has just enough of the "lab joy" to be lots of fun. He's doing well in formal training. He is also showing great promise in agility - but we haven't done any formal classes yet. He is healthy and just beautiful. He is also amazingly gentle with our elderly in-laws who live with us full time. Cutty is a super dog.
It's not an accident that he's such a great boy. Thoughtful breeding and all the efforts John and Gina put into raising their dogs are evident. They go above and beyond what a typical breeder would do. If you chose to purchase a dog, it is important to purchase from a responsible breeder and John and Gina exemplify "responsible". It was such a pleasure to work with them to find the right pup for us. Definitely consider Labrdogs Kennel when searching for a wonderful Lab.

Submitted by: Angel on Jul 07, 2008This is the second pup that we have recieved. The first was Chrystal who came back to them and when my Husband saw her he fell in love with her and she has since been on the road trucking with her. She has lots of travel miles under her collar. If you see her stop and say Hi. She is an adorable yellow lab with a darker yellow birth mark on her neck.
I have recently came back and will be taking home soon (july 12th, 2008) Little Rain Drop from Roo X Sammy breeding. She is a fiesty little peanut. With all the work that they have put into her she is able to follow the comands come, sit and off. She is also nearly potty trained and I already have a dog door she will be able to use right away. She is just 7 weeks old and is an amazing pup already.
