About Knottypine Kennels

Knottypine Kennels was established in 1991. Since that time, I have been dedicated to preserving the versatility and beauty of this wonderful breed. We actively participate in conformation, rally, obedience, AKC hunt tests, NAVHDA, agility and hunting. Our goal is to produce versatile shorthairs of quality conformation with wonderful temperaments that can go from the show ring to the field. Our dogs are always breeder and/or owner handled and trained to all of their wins and titles. This enables us to know and evaluate the dogs' personality, temperament and trainability first hand, especially in a stressful, competitive situation. I have trained and handled dogs in hunt tests (MH level), obedience (CDX level), NAVHDA (Utility level), Rally (RAE level) as well as Best in Show/Group Wins and High in Trial. I only breed occasionally to produce our next show, performance or hunting companion. We are interested in breeding to only the best quality possible, not the one that is most convenient or the biggest winning dog at the time. Each breeding is researched and carefully planned with long-term goals in mind. It goes without saying that both parents used in the breeding MUST meet all of their health clearances from OFA, CERF and be CD Normal. Our dogs live with us in the house, sleep on the bed and are part of our family. They are my "kids" and I wouldn't have it any other way.

If you are looking for a GSP then you will not be able to find a better breeder than Knottypine Kennels. This kennel only breeds the finest examples of the breed. Not only are these dogs absolutely gorgeous they are awesome bird dogs.
