About Kinnickinnic Kennels
I was introduced to the French Brittany 10 years ago after being a die-hard springer guy. The last Springer I had was actually mellow and pointed birds once in a while (which got me to thinking about a pointer, but I still liked the spaniel poise). At that point ten years ago someone mentioned the French Brittany, I did my research and realized this is the breed for me. If you are a family person that loves to hunt, but wants the dog to be a part of the family the French Brittany is the dog. They are excellent in the house and when it comes to hunting you will wonder who put the battery in them. They are natural pointers and retrievers and also make water retrieves (they are no lab in the cold weather, but an early season duck hunt or jump shoot they are hard to beat). Their natural ability on any bird is hard to beat. I personally think they excel on pheasants and grouse and are decent on ducks. If you are into duck hunting big time and like to upland hunt on the side this is not your breed. For the avid uplander that likes to have his dog in the house I don't think you would find a better dog.
