About Thunder Mountain Kennels

We breed mainly Walker hounds for bobcats and bear but they excell on lions and raccoons. My main lineage is Finley River. I have gentlemen on the West Coast dry ground hunting these hounds on cats.I hunt about 80% of the time with out snow . These hounds consistantly rig  cats off the box. Pups will now run $300 each. We will ship. Buyer pays shipping, vet check, and will have to put a refundable deposit on our crates used in shipping. We will breed one time a year in the spring/fall. Any pups not sold will become started pups for sale.

i contacted thunder mountain kennels to ask him a few questions on his breeding and prices as well as two other kennels. He responded promptly and answered all my questions. I never heard anything back from the other two breeders. I asked him to get a hold of me when he had pups he said will do and for that reason when he does i will get a dog or two from him thanks for taking the time to respond.

I have a pup from Mics Treeing Walkers, born in July of this summer. He is a smart and quick starting pup. I have a video of him on my face book page treeing at 4 months old. My experiance with Mic has been outstanding from first contact through the flight shipment and contacts after he arrived, I would recommend any one look at Thunder Mountain Kennels for you hound needs,

We got one Mic’s male pups from the may 1 2009 litter you will not find a better family dog very playful and like people. When he was 5 months old I took him Pheasant hunting he worked the field like he had been hunting his whole life. Great disposition.

I have had a wonderful experience with my female puppy from the May 1, 2010 litter. I was looking for a family dog that would also hike, compete in dock dogs and be a therapy dog. She is a beautiful addition to our family. We recently went to compete at the Big Horn Hunting Expo in Spokane, and the hunting folks there just fell in love with her. I have no doubt that if we chose to hunt her that she would be able to do that too. Her baying voice is true Walker Coonhound, and she has a great disposition. I would highly recommend this breeder to those looking for a great dog!
