Annabella Brittany Kennels - Utah American Brittany Breeders

About Annabella Brittany Kennels

We are a small family run kennel breeding one litter of hunting dog puppies every few years in rural Utah. Our goal is to raise family companions that excel in finding, pointing and retrieving upland game. Our focus is on breeding quality close-ranging dogs for the foot hunter.

Our American Brittanys: Our female Brittany is named Annabella's Dreamboat "Annie". She just completed a year of hunting dog training at Cove Mountain Kennels. We are hoping to work with Annie in AKC hunt tests this year and get her a JH title (She passed her first leg with confidence). She is doing well on pheasants and chukars and you can read more about her progress on my hunting dog training blog. She is working full-time this year (her third year) at a pheasant hunting preserve and is doing well as a pheasant dog. We currently have a litter of pups out of Annie and Buster that were whelped October 12th. 5 female puppies are for sale.

West Mountain "Buster" joined our kennels this past year. He is a handsome 4 year old white and liver male out of Dave Walker Kennels in Idaho. His sire is FC Ricoche-T (Rico) and his dam is Sweet Dreams (Beans Blaze bred). He is also a great pheasant dog at the pheasant preserve and likes to hunt chukar with me.

We are anxiously awaiting the newest addition to the kennels, a male brittany dog on order from BlueRidge Brittany Kennels in Texas. His AKC registered name is "Blueridge's Race-N-Win" with the call name of "Tony". Both of his parents are Dual Champions. His momma (DC T'Kalis Feel The Wind) is a 3rd generation DC along with her litter mate (DC T'Kalis Hi Flyin' Ace). The sire goes back to FC/AFC Orion's Major Eclipse. His littermates are doing well in field trials and show competition and have won quite a few puppy stakes. Tony will be competing in the Western and Central futurities in early 2010.

Our latest addition is another beautiful puppy from Blueridge Kennels in Texas. Annabella's Queen Elizabeth "Lizzy" came home to us on September 5th, 2009 and has been a joy to raise. She has pointed live quail at 3 months and is retrieving the knotted sock well. She loves birds and we have to pry her away from the flight pens when we go over to the pheasant farm. In Lizzy's pedigree, her Daddy is a dual champion DC Blueridge's Major Adventure and her momma is a Show Champion CH Warbonnet's Clever Bag O'Trix.

I have hunted with Jon several times now and have only had exceptional experiences. I have hunted with him and Annie and was very impressed with the quality of the dog. Jon has put time and effort into his dogs and it pays off big time when she is out front. The dog (Annie) I hunted behind is very well mannered and would never quit.

I used to own the stud of this litter (Buster). He is awesome, if the pups get his personality and bird finding desire they will be awesome. Buster has a great nose. If I took several dogs out and planted a quail and my other dogs could not find it, many times after trying for sometime, I'd let Buster out, and most of the time he could find it. These pups should be wonderful pets, and hunting machines.

Hi, I have met Jon personally and his operation. We also have gotten two dogs from him. Jon is a great guy to deal with and very up front on any issues. You don't have to worry about him telling you something that isn't quite the truth! I would recommend Jon as a breeder to anyone interested in hunting dogs!!

I can vouch for Annie’s hunting abilities. She is an excellent field dog. She is a smaller (shorter) orange and white brittany with a great personallity, is good around kids and other dogs and has a strong bird drive. Similarly, Buster has proven himself in the field on both pheasants and quail. Contact me if you would like a reference.
