Xanadu Kennels - Texas Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Golden Retriever Breeders

Xanadu Kennels has had the name since 1999. The owners, Candy and Chuck Van Duzer started breeding golden retrievers in 1983, got their 1st "Chessie" in 1992 and the rest is history.

Xanadu kennels has a complete kennel system with a 20 dog capacity. It has automatic waterers, 5 exercise yards (ranging in 3/4 to 1/4 acre) and 25 acres of native hard wood trees with numerous wild life and a running stream.

We offer breeding, whelping (done in our home in our whelping room), special dietary advising, stud service, basic obedience, hunt training (done by our trainer, Kelli Corcoran), boarding, grooming, a 25' X 50' pool with a water fall and slide, excellent physical care and lots of love.

Our original "Chessie"stock is from hunters and we have titled dogs in just about everything. We have bred over 20 conformation champs who can do it all. Our dogs are sound, have great temperaments, lots of drive, love the water, great with kids and are excellent companions and hunters, besides being beautiful and loving and a lot of fun. Even though our goldens are show quality, they have also titled in hunt and other genres, are great in the water and all our dogs have excellent pedigrees. We are a "Breeder of Merit" via the AKC.

We guarantee hips, eyes and heart and sell with a contract. Our deposits are good until you find that special dog that will fill your needs. Our goldens have wonderful pedigrees and have many relatives in the hall of fame. We select studs by their health, temperament, training and looks. Our line of goldens are free of cancer and thyroid problems. They are heavy boned and well balanced. We combine show and hunt with our decision to breed. our goldens are suited for hunting, show, agility, companion and anything else you can dream. Goldens love children; especially ours. Our 5 grandchildren give them lots of love.

Our dogs are beauties but they all need a job. The more you put in them, the more you will get in return. We even have dogs who herd cattle! Our Chessies and Goldens can do just about anything you ask of them as long as you are patient.
