HI Melissa - Just touching base to let you know that Max and Maisie are still happy and healthy. We had one of their off spring stop by today and he is just as happy and healthy as his parents. Thanks again for breeding such lovely dogs. Take care and come visit us in Canada. Our door is always open. Susie and Magill

I purchased my GSP, Ace (from Mandy x Rebel) from Melissa the first week of December 2013. I had recently moved to Texas from South Carolina and had been in search of a GSP for over a year. Melissa, by far, was the most professional and helpful breeder I talked too and had more knowledge of the breed than all the other breeders combined. Everywhere I take Ace people stop and ask me where I got him and what a great looking dog he is, his temperament and hunting instincts are even better than his looks. I owe a big thank you to Melissa and will never get a GSP from anyone else as long as she is still breeding.

Ariels Kennels are the best! We had a great experience in purchasing Dakota. The arrangements for shipping Dakota from TX to MD were top of the line. We couldn't be happier with Dakota and she has been a great addition to the family!

I purchased "Ariel's Kimber" at 6 months old in November of 2012, she turnes 2 next week. She's liver and roan, patched and ticked, although she looks mostly liver. She was a little shy at first but it didn't take her long to warm up to the family. She is still timid around strangers, but give her a treat or throw a tennis ball to her and she will be your best friend. She is great around other dogs, she is the fastest most energetic dog I have ever seen in my life! All she wants to do is play/work. Melissa, owner of Ariel's kennels is also fabulous, she has a gift for the GSP breed, any question or concern day or night she will answer the phone, I've never met some one who loves and cares for dogs like her. They are like family not pets. I would highly recommend her and plan to purchase another.

I left a testimonial in Nov. 2012 for our experience with Browning. In Dec. 2012 we added a second GSP, Chester, from Ariels Kennels. He was for the sole purpose of being a companion for Browning because no matter what we did, runs, chase, swim, etc. we couldn't wear Browning out. After a few conversations with Melissa at Ariels Kennels, she recommended Chester as the perfect companion. Was she ever right. We still do all the things we did now with both dogs, but when our tongues are hanging to the ground, they take up with each other and continue their play time. They never fight, are not destructive except for a little digging now and then, and are the best of friends. I totally credit Melissa at Ariels Kennels for knowing the dogs she raises. If I was going to get another (I'm not because I don't want to sleep in the dog house with them) Ariels Kennels would be the first and only choice for me.

I researched a lot of the GSP breeders when I was looking for a new companion/family memeber and made the choice of contacting Ariels Kennels. After speaking with Melissa I was convinced that was where I would purchase a GSP from and was extremely satisfied with the purchase of Ariels Sunny Boy. From my experience Ariels Kennels is one of the best and they are very knowledgable and helpful. Any time there was any question Melissa was always just a phone call or text message away and very helpful in getting any issues resolved. I highly recommend Ariels Kennels if you are looking for a GSP that is healthy, well taken care of and that you can do anything with.

We got Browning when he was 5 months old in March 2012. Melissa was great in the information she provided before we got Browning. He's tested our patience a time or two and Melissa was and has always been helpful in offering suggestions which have all worked great. I would highly recommend Ariels Kennels for anyone looking for a GSP.

I want to thank Melissa and Ariels Kennels for being a responsible breeder of GSP's. Their dedication to the breed and their passion is very evident in the great dogs they put out. I have been fortunate to have a male (Harvey) from them.
From the day I picked him up his natural field abilities have been evident, he was retrieving and pointing right away. I grew up in the greatest upland bird state in the US-South Dakota and have been fortunate to hunt behind several labs and English Setters. Harvey was no slouch on his first trip to the fields of South Dakota. After getting his first Jackrabbit "chase" out him, he was a natural, quartering 20-30 in front of me, got on scents and made a retrieve on his first day. Things progressed very rapidly over the week, and he was like a seasoned vet by the end. This was mostly due to Melissa and Ariels Kennels working with him while he was there. They take great pride in their dogs, and it definitely shows. Everyone I take Harvey I receive comments about how beautiful, graceful and fast he is. Not to mention his great disposition around others. Harvey is an excellent house dog too, and that is a huge factor in calling him a great dog, as he spends 90% of his time as a house/family dog. Very loyal, true, calm around kids and other dogs. Again a tribute to the breeding program at Ariels Kennels! GSP's do however need attention and need to be properly exercised to truly experience the greatness of this breed.
My next GSP will come from Ariels Kennels!

Hi Melissa,

Hanna (formerly "Fancy" from your F litter last March) and I just got back from her first Pheasant Hunt in South Dakota! She did absolutely great, she has such a nice disposition and so much instinct. She was a hit with everyone at our Motel excited to hear about how she did on our 5 day hunt.

A brief roll up, by the end of day one she was quartering, checking in and scent trailing Birds. Day two she made her 1st Point, and honored another dogs point. Day three she pointed and retrieved two Pheasants, and by day four she was marking dead birds where they fell and working dead birds. She was great. My uncle, who has raised and trained bird dogs all of his life, had a great hunt just watching her hit each step on her way to being a great bird dog.

Thanks so much. Great instinct and breeding, she went from a yard worked dog to a good hunter on her first trip out. Would have never limited out without her there!

We are planning another hunt in December. I'll send another pic and an update when we return.

Take care,
Mike Benton
