She did absolutely great, she has such a nice disposition and so much instinct. She was a hit with everyone at our Motel excited to hear about how she did on our 5 day hunt. A brief roll up, by the end of day one she was quartering, checking in and scent trailing Birds. Day two she made her 1st Point, and honored another dogs point. Day three she pointed and retrieved two Pheasants, and by day four she was marking dead birds where they fell and working dead birds. She was great. My uncle, who has raised and trained bird dogs all of his life, had a great hunt just watching her hit each step on her way to being a great bird dog. Thanks so much. Great instinct and breeding, she went from a yard worked dog to a good hunter on her first trip out. Would have never limited out without her there! We are planning another hunt in December. I'll send another pic and an update when we return. Take care, Mike Benton Submitted by: Leeza Chenoweth on Nov 22, 2010 We had a wonderful experience buying our puppy Tucker from Melissa and Jason. My husband picked out our puppy from the website but since he is deployed my 3 yr old and I went to get Tucker. I do not know much about owning a dog so Melissa and Jason both were very patient with me explaining all I needed to know and even went to WalMart with me to show everything that I needed for the pup and things to avoid as well. We brought Tucker home and could not be happier with him; he is such a wonderful and well behaved dog. Melissa could not be more patient with me, she really is a saint, and I call her a few times a day to ask her many questions that come up regarding our dog. She is very knowledgeable about her dogs always willing to help and she is even recommending the trainer for our pup when my husband goes to Kansas. If you or anyone you know is thinking about getting a family dog you will not go wrong with GSP and you cannot ask for a better breeder then Ariel’s Kennels. Incredible experience and a great pup. Submitted by: Joshua Walton on Oct 10, 2010 The owners of Ariel's Kennels, Melissa & Jason, are very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. Not only did I purchase a GSP from them, they offered to train my dog at a discount. I also made new friends to hunt with.I highly recommend them. 5++! Submitted by: Mike Moncada w/ Bear Creek Kennels *Iowa on Dec 16, 2009 Hello,I want to leave a quick note about my GREAT Experience with Ariels Kennels. I am a breeder from the Midwest and was directed to Melissa with some questions I had as well as interest in puppies she had for sale. Melissa has been more than accomodating in anwsering my questions. I've even converted my kennel over to her as my Webmaster, and had Melissa design a website for us as well. www.bearcreekkennelsonline.com We've had a super experience with Ariels Kennels, and would recommend anyone to Melissa for their next pup or started dog, and website! Thanks again Melissa. -Mike w/ Bear Creek Kennels *Iowa 319-329-9973 Submitted by: Mark Thompson on May 15, 2009 I purchased "Gregor" from Ariels Kennels shortly after he was born. Melissa and Jason kept us well informed during the 8 weeks, prior to picking him up May 10th. Both of them were very informative and very friendly. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a GSP. Melissa had asked me to keep her informed on the growing process of our pup. And If I had any questions or concerns regarding our pup to freely contact them. I will being sending "Gregor" to them for bird training @ 9 months of age. Submitted by: Eleanor Hendrickson on Apr 08, 2009 I purchased an eight week old GSP puppy from Melissa Rogers at Ariel's Kennels on 3/29/09. Throughout the weeks prior to the purchase Melissa has been a fountain of information and advice, even today, weeks after the puppy has come to his new home, I know I can come to her with any questions or doubts I may have regarding his care and health. She has a true understanding of the breed, but most of all she cares deeply for her animals and is selective and careful in her breeding and training. We are purchasing a second pup from Ariels Kennels as soon as it is weaned. Submitted by: Anna Andrews on Feb 23, 2009 When I had to find a new home for my five year old GSP, Melissa stepped in to guide me through the whole process. She was a wonderful source of help and information. She worked quickly to help find a GREAT new home for my dog. Her knowledge about the breed and experience with the dogs was evident through our entire communication. I would highly recommend A.K. to anyone! Submitted by: MANUEL DE JESUS on Feb 19, 2009 Excellent breeder to work with. I would recomend it to any one..A+ Excellent Dogs, Very cooperative with any questions or concerns.... I'm very thankfull for my dogs that I purchased from the Ariels Kennels.. Submitted by: Charles Graves on Feb 19, 2009 We bought Curtis from Ariels Kennels on February 14, 2009. Curtis is 5 1/2 months old and was "started" when he bought him. Curtis is well behaved and odedient. His hunting pedigre is evident and with additional training, Curtis will be the perfect hunting dog as well as a pet!!Submitted by: Scott Vowers on Feb 19, 2009 I would like to start out by thanking Ariel's Kennels (Mellisa and Jason) for being so helpful with my Weimaraners. You two are by far the best and friendliest people I have met in the top notch hunting dog world. I first came to know of Ariel's Kennels when I was looking for a Weimaraner stud for my female "Sable". I was not able to travel from Western Nebraska to Texas, but Mellisa actually traveled all those hundreds of miles. Sable was bred to their "Vito", who has some of the best blood in the Weimaraner breed's history. Vito is a hell of a nice dog. Great conformation, great hunting drive, and was very friendly. To that union seven puppies were born. As I started them on birds before they sold, it was apparent at a very young age that they were going to be great hunters. Of the puppy buyers that contacted me, all were extremely impressed on how well their dogs did. Soon after I bought a male Weimaraner "Rocket". I have to say that this was the best decision I ever made. Rocket was retrieving the day after I got him home, (thanks for all the hard work in his early days). He loves the water, and acutally beats my lab to the dummy and retrieves it to hand. He is so smart it is scary. His point is immaculate. His first bird at about six months was a sharp tailed grouse. Rocket tracked the scent, pointed, I shot it, he went out and retrieved it right to my hand. He was so proud, but not as proud as his dad! He is a wonderful dog. Very loving, smart, and hunts ducks geese, grouse, and pheasant. Late in November I had the privlige of Jason coming up to Nebraska and hunting birds. The weather was terrible. Snow, Sleet, and of course 40-60 mile an hour wind gusts. Jason brought Reb and Rebel, two german shorthair pointers. Now I have only hunted with a few shorthairs being more into Weimaraners, but these dogs did awsome. They minded well, tracked the birds, pointed great, and all this after traveling all the way from Texas where it was warm to horrible frigid weather in Nebraska. Their conformation was great, and they looked beautiful searching out birds in the CRP fields. Once again thank you for all your help. You are always there for me when I need advice or have questions. Anyone that buys a puppy or breeds with your stud dogs is a lucky person in my opinion. Many people in the hunting dog world are rude, know it all jerks with nothing (blood lines) to show for it. Ariel's Kennels (Mellisa and Jason) are by far the best I have encountered, and that is why I will always try to do business with you first.
