Submitted by: Dwayne Gresham on Jan 05, 2015Jim Whitaker sold me a female GSP pup a few months ago and I have to say that she is a great dog. She's so smart and easy to train. She absolutely loves to go to the woods. She is just over 4 months old but is already good at Whoa, Fetch and Heel. A great dog...I couldn't be happier.
Submitted by: Brad Jones on Sep 28, 2013We bought our Ellie from Jim over a year ago and couldn’t be more pleased. I run several times a week and compete in races throughout the area. After researching the breed, I knew this would be a great running companion for me. Her stamina to run, run, run, and run is amazing. She has the best temperament and disposition. We couldn’t be happier with this dog and the quality of GSP Jim breeds.
Submitted by: Jimmy Welch on Sep 17, 2013We brought Maximus home from Mr. Whitaker's around Valentine's Day this year, and what a blessing he has been. I grew up hunting a GSP and knew I'd have to have another to share the experience with my children that my father shared with me. Max is an absolutely awesome pup, full of energy and love. He's smart as a whip and locked up on a quail wing at 8 weeks old...little rascal didn't know what he was doing but he was doing it. He's been house trained, accident-free, since 4 months...rings the bell to go out very time. I don't have enough words or space to tell how great he is. If you're looking for a GSP, look no further than Jim and Ms. Sheila's...their dogs love ya real good. ;)
Submitted by: Myra Goodnight on Sep 17, 2013We love our Max! He is almost 9 months now. He has awesome markings; we get so many compliments about how beautiful he is everywhere we go. He gets along great with all breeds when we take him to the dog parks. He is very lovable and gets along with the kids very well. He is extremely smart and picks up on comands very quickly. If you are looking for a GSP, the Whitaker's pups are the best!
Submitted by: Joann Norman on Feb 08, 2013My family has had many dogs but hands down Cali has been the most loving dog we have ever owned. No matter what is going on, Cali has to be touching someone. We absolutely loved Jim and Sheila too. Everything we needed including more pictures, information, etc they provided it for us. I would get another dog from them if we could, but you need a lot of time to spend with these dogs. These dogs love people so get ready you will have a new best friend!! We got our dog from them on Jan 10, 2012. Also, no matter where we go people want to know where we got her. She is great!
Submitted by: Jennie Hinton on Jan 27, 2013These are the prettiest puppies I've ever seen. The Mom and Dad are so well mannered, extremely smart and beautiful. We have one of their puppies and it is remarkable! If you're looking for a great dog to bring into your home, make sure to give these people a call. They are extremely easy to work with and their puppies are the best looking ones around. Great demeanor and really pretty coloring. We wish we had room for two more puppies! Thanks, Whitaker's!
Submitted by: Michael B. Johnston on Jan 20, 2013I got my male GSP puppy from Jim last January 2012 and have found him to be a wonderful companion, family dog, and powerful hunter. Of gorgeous lineage, "Duncan" is the envy of all my friends for his tempermant and good looks. While he did very well in his retriever training, Duncan has thrived and 'found his purpose' in his upland game bird (quail) training. He's got a fantastic nose and is a true predator eager to find the birds and bring them back for just a bit of recognition. You can't go wrong with Whitaker's breeding; our puppy is testament to that!
