I own two dogs bought as pups from Ross at Caladen Kennels. They both have exceeded my expectations time and time again. One has become an exceptional trial dog as well as hunting companion. The other younger dog is turning out to be a fine bird dog, chasing birds in both SC and KS. Ross is also very helpful with training and advice. I regularly visit him and look forward to his advice and hospitality. He and the whole crew at Echo Plantation-Caladen Kennels are a cut above the rest. I would HIGHLY recommend purchasing a dog from him or having a dog trained by him. You will not be disappointed.

My pup is everything I was promised, and then some. The most biddable dog I've owned, very solid retriever, great nose, and tons of style on point. Surprisingly calm and cooperative around the yard and house. NAVDHA NA Pz 1 110 at seven months with very limited bird exposure at that point. Ross really knows his dogs, and has continued to be very helpful long after my check cleared.

Two thumbs up from the pheasant and sharptail fields of South Dakota!
