Eaglerock Setters have been breeding some of the finest English Setters for over 40 years. Our focus has been on biddable dogs that have strong natural abilities on WILD birds. Through a rigorous breeding program started by the late John Yates and we have been able to establish a fine line of companion gundogs. Our dogs make the transition from field to fireplace with ease. They are naturally talented hunters, loyal companions, and true members of the family. Through carefull examination of hunting skills, natural bird sense, socialablity, and temper we have perfected a fine strain of English Setter; the Eaglerock Setter.

The foundation of the Eaglerock bloodlines are from some of the finest if not most famous Setters of the past thirty years. We at Eaglerock Setters strive to do one thing, produce and develop some of the finest Setters available to even the most discrimintating upland gunner. It is this passion for fine dogs and attention to detail that separates the Eaglerock Setter from the rest. All of our dogs are kept in the home and are extremely well socialized. Puppies are whelped and weaned in our home so from the first few moments after birth till they head to their new homes they are socialized, loved, cultured and cared for.

Puppies are acclimated to the car, collar, lead and for the most part house trained when they are picked up. This is a very time consuming and demanding process but provides you with a more educated puppy and educated puppies make happy owners. Happy owners make dogs happy.

Puppies from 2012 have shown great talent, temperment and skill. We currently are hunting a 13 month old and are hunting and trialing several who are between 7 and 13 months.

We have several Finished dogs for sale and have several Puppy/Derby prospects and for the most part can accommodate any need that an individual client has.

We are expecting and have planned the following litters:

ER Bean out of CH Long Gone Boston out of GNG CH Cracklin Tail Speed will be bred to Eaglerock Sasse out of Eaglerock Spitfire.....Puppies expected mid July

ER Jed out of CH Stillmeadows Benjamin out of GNG CH Stokely's Diablo Jake will bred to Eaglerock Piccadilly out of Eaglerock Fandango out of Eaglerock Indigo.....Puppies Expected mid August

We currently have quite a few deposits on the upcoming litters and have room for a few more. Our litters are generally sold before they are born so if you are interested in a pup please let us know.

It's a long drive from Portland, Maine to Butler, PA but well worth the trip for our sweet little Cooper! Mike and Tammy couldn't have been more helpful and gracious and the dogs are magnificent!! As owners of one of the best English Setters on earth, we were very picky about where our second pup would come from. We wanted a wonderful, loving, family dog and a good strong hunter. Eagle Rock was the perfect combination! What a great experience getting to know Mike and Tammy and spending time with all of their beautiful dogs. Had a great time at the Purina Sponsered puppu pick up day at Mike and Tammy's We got to finially bring home Will Turner our puppy. We have watched hime grow since 2 hour old Tammy and Mike were great with our family Our puppy is the sweetest thing we ever had. He already knows his name at 9 weeks because they kept us involved with him getting to know us. He is so smart and I amsure ready to hunt soon. At least he thinks so. A great addition to our family. We've recently brought home our new English Setter Hattie and she is already brightening our lives. Mike and Tammy were so patient with us through the whole process answering our seemingly endless list of questions and welcoming us into their home for several visits. Just another word about Mike! Mike has gone out of his way for me and sometimes i can be over excited and picky on things! Mike fix up a nice old double 20, so i can use it because of my bad shoulder.He also put me onto another dog other than his new pups to help me out knowing i liked Brits to!Mike saved me alot of time and money! WOW. These guys live and breath English Setters. From the phone call I had with Mike I decided to go over and check out their opperation. It was like stepping back in time; if I didnt know the location I would have though I was on a southern plantaion in the 1930's. It is worth the trip to see the place.

I met Mike and Tammy, and saw both of their dogs and the puppy from the last litter. They were well behaved and so beautiful. You could tell these guys know what they are doing. I will be getting a pup from them and having Mike help me train it.

They are really worth looking up!

We lost our male English Setter, Patch, of 14 yrs.; he left a big hole in our hearts. Found that Mike and Tammy had puppies on the Gun Dog Breeders site, and fell in love. There was only one puppy left at that time. We told Mike of the situation, and he was so happy to hear that his last puppy was going to a well loved home. We got him at he begginning of April, 2012, and is now 6 months old. He had a beautiful point at 8 weeks with a grouse wing. He loves to run. He is a great addition to our family, and is great with kids. Mike has kept in contact even after so many months, and we keep him updated with pictures on how he is growing. We not only got a new dog, but a part of a great family.

Waiting for our puppy to be born Tammy and Mike are the best people we have met . Great knowledge of their breed and training Mother and Father on site and puppy from last litter. Beatiful well behaved and smart. They are a sweet couple who realy love and know their business. Puppy will be a great adition to my husbands hunting and my cuddling.

I purchased a pup from Mikes February litter and couldn't be more pleased. Our little guy is unbelievable! He is a solid pointer, has a killer tail and just loves his job. He also loves the car, my wife, the grandkids, but when he see the collar or hears his bell he explodes.

I can't say enough about Mike and Tammy, from the first phone call I made to inquire about a pup until the day I picked her up, they answered every question I had and kept me up to date on the pups development. EagleRock Kennels are located in a nice country setting, the facility is wonderful and well kept. If you are interested in an English Setter I would highly recommend EagleRock. I have only had my pup for one week, but can tell she is an intelligent dog and is going to be very trainable. I not only got what is going to be a great gundog and hunting companion, but also a great new addition to my family.
