All our dogs are NAVHDA (on BOTH Canada and the United States, as well as CKC tested (VIPHUNTNN MAVERICK: NAVHDA NA 2 prize 105 @ 5 months and CKC JHD finished at 7 months). Also CERF, OFA, GUELPH et al, tested and certified. Our family has been hunting, outdoorsmanship, and loving the Earth for generations, and all with a great hunting companion or three along for the journey. Primarily involved with hunt hounds, thirty plus years ago an introduction to Wirehaired Pointing Griffons was made whilst exploring the North Carolina Mountains, and the rest is now our history. Four Griffons later, many hunts, great friendships and explorations of the field, valleys, mountains and streams we can safely say "GRIFFONS ARE GREAT!" Now that we have THAT out of the way, we also enjoy new experience exposures of/for our Griffs in as many parts of North America; from golf courses, resorts, lakes, beaches, shopping at Cabelas or BPS (and the local General store), as well as family and social gatherings. Our family were searching for a while to have the right combination of dog (home and hunting). We met Kathryn and she spent hours and hours with us, answering all questions and providing insight. She actually seemed to be disuading us from bringing in a Griffon and then we realised that she was just so committed to the breed and wanting to make sure we understood the real needs of these dogs. We will always appreciate that time as it helped us help our pup. She's thriving and attending AKC and CKC junior hunt events. We may be showing, yet that would be our little one's to do. It's too bad we can't post pictures here. This breed brings a smile to your face.
