Woodys Sporting Dogs - Ohio English Springer Spaniel, Labrador Retriever Breeders

Woody's Sporting Dogs was started in 2000 by
Shannon Wood and his wife Tiffany. Shannon's
parents have raised Labrador retrievers for over
20 years, so dogs have always been a big part of
his life. Shannon, however, was more drawn to the
training aspect of the business than the breeding.
To further his God given talent, Shannon attended
dog training seminars given by Mike Stewart of
Wildrose Kennels in Mississippi and trained with
great professionals such as Lyle Steinman and
Clint Johnson.

Our primary business is retriever training. We train retrievers
to compete in AKC and HRC hunt tests. We also specialize in
creating the ideal gentleman's gun dog for you and your
hunting needs. We know that every hunter has different
expectations and styles of hunting and we do the best to
accommodate those individual needs.

In addition to the training, we also
selectively breed Labrador
Retrievers and field bred English
Springer Spaniels. All of our dogs
are bred to be not only a great
hunting tool, but also your trusted
companion.
