We were referred to Fair Fields Gundogs by another breeder when he did not have enough males in the litter. We were delighted to meet Steve and his wife Molly and their children who all participate in the business. Our pup Jacob Bodie just turned one year old. He exceeds our expectations in every way. He started pointing the day we brought him home and displays all the natural hunting instincts. But, more than that, he has fit in a member of the family. He loves to swim, play frisby, and go for rides. Jake is loyal, obidient, loving, and extremely intelligent. (I have been able to teach him to say the word walk!) And, when he is ready for some exersise he brings me his leash. Steve always returns our e-mail and has made us feel welcome to the kennel anytime we want our dog to see birds (he raises his own hatchlings) or, just to show him off. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have found him and happy we became the owners of one of his beautiful pups.Submitted by: Stacie Morrow on Oct 28, 2008 I bought a male pup from Steve last year and Ruger has been everything I could ever ask for. His natural ability and eagerness to please is out standing. Steve has been there to help me with any questions I have about Ruger or any of my dogs. I wish you the best of luck with your kennel. Submitted by: Robert A. Reed on Jul 28, 2008 Steve has an outstanding batch of pups here. I am an avid pointing dog trainer and was looking to take a step up in the genetics of the dogs in my own kennel. I have personally looked over the pups from this breeding and have seen Lily run with one of my own dogs. You cannot go wrong here; there is not a bad pup in the litter.I was lucky and had “pick” of this litter, but it sure wasn’t an easy task. I selected a pup Steve calls Hook. She is everything you could ask for in a GSP… already swimming and aggressively chasing birds at six weeks. This natural drive will make finishing pup much easier. Mr. Spangler runs a small operation, but he is professional in his dealings and he knows this breed and his line extremely well. I’d recommend him to any of my bird dog friends. Good luck in the future Steve and Molly. I greatly appreciate your flexibility in regards to scheduled visits and the obvious care you’ve taken with these pups. Your new house and kennel is great. I bet you are ready to move in now! |
