Vom Hartriegel is a small, family first VDD-GNA registered kennel. Our goal is to produce serious hunting dogs with excellent temperament and mental stability. I believe for our dogs to be truly versatile they must be able to…

• Hunt the fields and prairies to locate and point pheasant, quail and other upland birds

• Track and push rabbit out of heavy cover

• Sit quietly while duck hunting in the marsh and track a crippled duck on a blind retrieve

• Be confident and able to blood track a bowshot deer after a not so great shot

   

  And after all of that be able to sleep in the same room with my two small kids at night as a member of the family

 Great pride and a lot of time and commitment are taken to only breed to dogs that have these qualities.

We only sell pups to hunting homes and are firm believers in the VDD/ JGHV German testing system. We believe in assisting our puppies owners through the training process and guidance through the testing system if they so desire.
