BEWARE! My most recent experience with Cripple Creek was far different than my first. I purchased an older dog(15 Months) as I had done before.
However, this dog was completely misrepresented to me. When I spoke to Jodi about returning it he said that they do not take their dogs back but since I was a returning customer he would this time. He did take him back but he did not return my money. He said he would get me another which I agreed to but he has not. It has been a year and he has kept the dog and my money.
He has never contacted me. I initiated all contacts. He did not keep his word. The only thing he kept was the dog and my money. Furthermore, having posted this testimonial several times and having it deleted by Jodi, you would think he would contact me to settle this matter in a professional way which he has not. It further adds to the type of person you would be dealing with

I recently purchased a GSP puppy from Tina and Jody. I kept in touch with them concerning the energy level of the puppy. They took him for a couple of days to evaluate his temperament/personality. They contacted me and let me know the puppy I picked was very high-energy with a high-prey drive and since I purchased a puppy as a pet and obedience dog, he would not be a suitable match for me. They graciously took him back and are going to help me select a puppy from an upcoming litter. They were non-judgmental, understanding and very easy to work with. They obviously care about their puppies as well as new puppy owners. I am looking forward to a new puppy later this year.

As a side note, their dogs are very well cared for, and their kennels/facilities are impeccably clean. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a GSP.

We purchased a GSP puppy from Jody's Jan. 25th litter. From the first phone call Jody was helpful and answered all of our questions. He keeps his word and is very honest.
We had our pick from a litter of 10, it was not easy because all of the puppies were beautiful. We finally made our pick and have been in love with "Harper" ever since.
She is 4 months old now and is very smart. She sits, shakes, lies down and rolls over, she also sits and stays. She loves the water and swims like a fish which is good in the OBX.
Jody has kept in touch and is available whenever we have questions. He likes to see pictures of the puppies as they grow. He is more than a breeder, he cares, wants to make sure everyone is happy and has become a friend.

We purchased a female GSP from Cripple Creek Kennel in July and had a great experience. Jody and Tina kept us informed about our puppy and sent many pictures upon request. When we were able to finally pick her up they gave us a lot of information about the dogs and made sure we had their contact information to keep in touch if we needed anything afterwards. Our dog, Shera, has been a wonderful addition to our family and is smart as a whip! We are very pleased with our experience with Cripple Creek Kennels and would highly recommend them.

I purchased a beautiful GSP (Sophie ) from Jody Bass just before Thanksgiving. She is by far the best dog I have ever owned. Jody was awesome to work with and truly cares about his dogs.

I have and will continue to recommend this kennel to anyone looking for a gundog or a companion.

I recently picked up a beautiful German Shorthaired Pointer pup (Apollo) from Jody Bass of Cripple Creek Kennels. He was very accommodating, friendly, and professional. He's stayed in continuous contact with me after the purchase to receive pictures, get updates, and answer any questions I may have. The experience was everything I couldn't hoped for.

I agree with what's been said. Bought a Brittany in Sept 2011. Owner had small kennel and seemed more concerned about ensuring a happy customer/building a positive reputation for his kennel than pushing or selling puppies. Very descriptive of the litter and the specific dogs. He'll let you know what you're getting, whether it's right for you or not, so there won't be any surprises.

The dog was advertised as "hunting/companion stock" and I would say that this dog has definitely held through with this promise. At less than a year, she was making preserve quail and chukars look like child's play. When there's birds in the area, she'll range and cover ground as well as you'd want her to (out to 100+) yards. She also takes to training well always checking in on me with sprinting 'pass buys' and coming when called. Has also become my virtual adopted child.

I would do business with this kennel again if in the area and if he had what I wanted.

Very, very pleased with this breeder. Just picked up our German Shorthaired Pointer puppy yesterday. The breeder was great & showed us the father & mother of the litter. Highly recommend this kennel!

I contacted Jody several times in search of a hunting companion. After we discussed my wants and likes, Jody, very professionally, told me that he just did not have what I was looking for. Although I was disappointed, he promised that he would keep me in mind if something came up. In just a short time, we spoke again and he thought he had what I was looking for.
It turned out that he had my ideal dog. He is everthing I was looking for and more. It was a pleasure dealing with someone that actually listened to me. There was absolutely no pressure and he has been there to answer any and all of my questions. My next dog will absolutely come from Cripple Creek and yours should too.

We purchased a GSP from Cripple Creek Kennels about six months ago. It was a wonderful experience. We searched five states and drove up from Florida to pick up this puppy. Mr. Bass' facility was extremely organized, clean, and the dogs were taken exceptional care of. Dealing with Mr. Bass was very pleasant, he was professional and very knowledgeable about not only his litter of puppies, but the breed. He spent a great deal of time with us when we arrived to be sure we understood everything about the puppy and his care.

Not being hunters we purchased this puppy as a pet, but with this being said; we were treated as if we were purchasing a prized hunting dog. Our experience was wonderful. Even after we got the puppy home Mr. Bass followed up with us for several months to see how he was doing and answer any questions we had. The puppy is now six months and a beautiful dog. We get stopped on the street almost daily with comments of what a nice dog he is. I highly recommend a purchase of a dog from Crpple Creek Kennels, the entire experience was wonderful.
