With a passion for breeding and training Labs for waterfowl hunting, we decided why not share our passion with others. Blackwater Retrievers is a family owned and operated kennel that has been in operation since 2009. Born and raised in Oregon growing up with Labs and hunting waterfowl and upland birds, we wanted to share our love of Retrievers and training with others.
We are located in Maple Hill, NC, which is in the Southeastern part of the state. Our kennel is home based where all our dogs are considered and treated as part of the family. All of our Labs have been introduced to children and other pets as well as indoor and outdoor environments to make the transition to their new home as smooth as possible. We offer AKC registration in both Limited and Full, although price will vary depending on which you choose.
At Blackwater Retrievers we strive to provide the highest quality dog that will best represent the Labrador breed. Our Labs are stocky framed and have the distinctive English style "block" head. We also offer the oppurtunity, for you as the proud new owner, to have your new puppy trained in basic obedience and waterfowl hunting.
