I have a male English Pointer pup from Markus', Wrangler's Honky Tonk Joe/Honky Tonk Secret litter of March 2011. At 8 months old he is hunting wild Chukars and Pheasants, doing his part with a pair of grown dogs. He has found and pointed multiple Pheasants, two of coveys of Chukars and a few singles by himself. He retrieves every bird to hand, he has made a couple of extraordinary retrieves on Chukars, one off the edge of a canyon for a dead bird and another out of sight for a wounded one. He shows no fear of a wounded Rooster Pheasant and will retieve from water deep enough he has to swim. He's easy to control in the field, a very fast learner and a good citizen in the house. He has come when called almost without fail from day one. Although I own and hunt other good dogs, I believe he will be that special dog I have craved for a long time since the passing of a special partner of 14 years.

i bought a male puppy from Markus out of his hta/crows little joe bloodline. the puppy arrived well and healthy on a ground transport that Markus set up because the airlines would not ship due to heat and the flight ending in south louisiana. i am impressed with his bloodlines and his professionalism as a breeder. We purchased a female English Pointer from Markus at Wrangler Kennels out of his litter whelped February 25, 2010. She is a real nice pup with lots of energy and already intrested in birds. She is also great with our young daughter and other childen as well. Markus at Wrangler Kennels kept us up to date with the pup until we received her. We can tell he is very committed to all his dogs and litters and treats every one like it's his own. He answered every question we had along the way about anything and always got back to us that same day. Which made us feel good about our pup we were purchasing all the way in New Mexico since we were all the way in Wisconsin. We highly recommend Wrangler Kennels.
