At Skywater Labradors, we only produce one or two AKC registered litters in any year. The focus is on that wonderful Labrador temperament, which has captured the heart of millions of dog lovers for many years, and will take alot to bypass. My dogs are all well rounded individuals who are able to give us unconditional love every day no matter what, and then go out and use spectacular skills either in the field or the show ring. I wouldn't expect anything less from high quality Labradors, as when they are bred properly, you get nothing but the best. There are many Labradors being produced every year, so don't limit yourself by taking one from the nearest or first litter you find!
Our puppies are born out of parents that are carefully screened for the most common hereditary diseases found in this breed. Every effort is made to try to avoid passing on those faulty traits, and I give a 30 month guarantee on the pups for their hips and eyes. The puppies are raised in our home so we can monitor every move, and give them the most amount of socialization time possible. I have two young children that play with them everyday. It is very important to me that these puppies are exposed to as many things as possible so they are happy and healthy once they are in their new homes.
