Submitted by: Scott Kleinhans on Oct 06, 2011As I was new to pointers when I picked up Presley, I was a little hesitant about how he would do. I could not have asked for a better pointing dog and family pet. I had 2 small children and 1 more on the way when I brought him home. He was and still is great with everyone.
Now to the hunting, the natural ability that he showed as a puppy was outstanding, he was ready to go the first day in the field. I had him at some NAVHDA events and he "got it" right away. Very easy to train, has great desire to please and get to work. Points, tracks and retrieves in all types of terrain and weather. Hunts well with other pointers and labs. Great nose, has fooled me dozens of times, can go all day long, even in the landscape of Montana and truly enjoys what he does.
He is 10 now and shows absolutely no signs of slowing down. We have hunted, WI, IA, ND and Montana and I have never been disappointed in him, hunts great and is tough as nails, porcupines, corn stalks and other various hazards out in the field haven't made a dent in his desire.
Submitted by: Marsha Seck on Sep 19, 2011I have trained with, traveled with and helped handle Sally Jo's dogs for several years. Her dogs are well trained, have excellent temperment, and are a joy to be around. I am always amazed at all the placques hanging on her wall of NAVHDA and AKC titles that she has completed with her dogs. I have known several of her dogs since they were puppies and have really enjoyed watching them progress over the years. I would highly recommend a puppy from Weimshadow Weims.
Submitted by: Steph Gilman on Nov 07, 2010We recently lost our Weimaraner, Zepher, whom we bought in 1999 when he was 8 weeks old, from Weimshadow Weimaraners. He was a great dog. Sally Jo & Jeff do a very good job socializing their puppies. Zeph was a happy, tail up kind of guy. He was never aggressive with people or other dogs. Although we weren't interested in using him for hunting, it was obvious, that there was no lack of ability in that area. He would point & his senses of smell & hearing were amazing. Had he been trained to hunt, he would have been very good at it.He had also a soft mouth & was very gentle with people.
