Can't say enough good things about the kennel he runs and the customer service he provides. He goes out of his way to breed high quality pointing labs and to further the breed. I bought a pup from him in 2010 and it has cruised to it's CPR and APR titles. Most of it's training has been done by me, except it's swim-by and water force. Mike Lettau at K&L Kennels has handled that for me. Mike has also just about gotten my pup steady to wing and shot. It has been a terrific team effort all the way around, but it all started with a well bred puppy with great genetics. We plan on getting her GMPR and starting AKC, UKC testing this spring. Couldn't be happier. You won't go wrong with a TGK lab. Submitted by: Dane on Sep 05, 2012 I had an absolute great experience dealing with TGK’s Nebraska Pointing Labs. This is a small family operation on a farm near Waverly, NE. I looked at a number of different breeders in and around the Omaha/Lincoln area prior to selecting TGK. Some of the reasons I choose TGK:1)I didn’t want to buy from a “puppy mill” type operation. TGK only breeds a few dogs at a time and I could tell they really care about both breeding dogs and puppies. 2)The puppies were very well socialized both with other dogs and people. Each night, Aaron (the owner) and his wife and kids play with the puppies in the yard. There honest wasn’t a shy dog in the entire litter. 3)Very high quality bloodlines. Both parents of my puppy were Grand Master Hunters. 4)One of the few breeders I could find that has pointing labs. 5)Tremendous customer service. On the night I picked out my puppy, there was another gentleman there selecting his dog as well (he was picking a female, whereas mine was a male). We had all 6 puppies out in the yard and watched them interact for an hour or so while having a few beers. Every email, phone call or question was answered very promptly. I just picked up my puppy 4 days ago and couldn’t be more pleased. He already fetches extremely well (due to the fetch Aaron plays with all the puppies), is very social and fearless! He also seems to be very intelligent, as he as already learned “kennel”, “give”, and “sit” in 4 days! I have also witnessed him kind of “point” a few times, which I have heard takes a little while to develop. I would highly recommend TGK to anyone who is looking for a great hunting dog and companion. |
