I recently purchased a puppy from Pheasant Bonanza Hunt Club and Kennel. This is my third hunting dog and already I know that I have a fantastic hunting partner. We bought a lab from Trent Leichleiter who had a yellow lab named Duece (the father) and a black lab named Saunders. I am so impressed with the early abilities this puppy has already shown. At just 7 weeks old Charger our pup saw and grabbed the first live bird she had ever seen. The desire she showed to retrieve this bird was so unbelievable.
When she was 8 weeks old I wanted to see if she would retrieve in water so I threw a rock into our small pool. Needless to say she not only retrieved the rock but stuck her head under water to get it.
I would highly recommend a puppy from Trent and his male hunting dog Duece. Charger is extremely intelligent and has a perfect demeanor for my boys ages 8 and 5.

We purchased our dog from Pheasant Bonanza as a puppy in the spring of 2007. We started his training there at six months old. The training they have given our dog Kirby has been unbelievable! Kirby has competed in the PHU trials and has done very well. He has also competed in the Regional & National trials and done very well also. His last competition was in the AKC LICENSED HUNT TEST and he earned his JUNIOR HUNT TITLE. Kirby accomplished this through the excellent training of his trainer's & handler's. Kirby is currently in training with them for hand signals. We are looking forward for the fall of 2009 competitions and we are going to try and get Kirby his AKC SENIOR TITLE.

We purchased a little female lab puppy from Trent and Katie. She is a sweet dog who loves to play fetch and is crazy about birds!

Trent was great about letting us visit the pups at any time so we could get to know them. The parents were well cared for, well mannered, and great hunters. We think Indy will be the same.

We would recommend one of Trent's puppies to anyone!

Pheasant Bonanza provided me with a 6month old GSP liver & white male named Hoff who has been remarkable in the field! He has won 2 competitions & placed in the top 3 in several other competitions. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a Top Competition dog. Their breeding program is excellent with only the best hunting dogs around!
