About Misty Woods Labradors
Misty Woods Labradors is a small kennel located in a small country town in south central Missouri. We strive to produce quality English Labrador Retrievers. We like to produce an all purpose Labrador that fits everyones needs. Our Labs can perform in conformation, obedience, rally, agility, field trials, therapy, as well as just being a wonderful companion to the family. We breed for temperament and soundness to pass on the best traits to the next generation of Labs. All of our Labs are AKC registered, have their hips and elbows certified by OFA, eyes examined by AVCO ophthalmologist, PRA, CNM, EIC, and Thyroid. I am a CGC Evaluator and Puppy Star Evaluator. I am a registered veterinary technician. I am also active in showing my dogs in conformation and performance. I strive to breed quality multipurpose labradors. I have the parents tested for hereditary problems for hips, elbow, thyroid, EIC, CNM, DM, PRA, HNPK and they do not carry the dilute gene. My pups come with a limited AKC registration (not for breeding) and a registered for you through AKC. All puppies have their first puppy vaccine given at 6-7 wks old, examined by a veterinarian, and have been wormed at least 3 times. The puppies come already MICROCHIPPED and the microchip is registered with AKC Reunite. They also come with a puppy kit that has the information about their parent's clearance tests and a sample of their current food and other important information. The puppies are health guaranteed up to 27 months of age against hip and elbow dysplasia. They can leave my home at 8 weeks of age. I also encourage the owners of the puppies to keep in contact in case they have any questions or concerns. You must fill out a puppy questionnaire to be considered for one of my puppies. The questionnaire also helps me pick out the puppy that will be fit your family and lifestyle. You will have some input in the selection but it is important to match the puppy personality to the family's needs and expectations of their puppy. The questionnaire can be found or my website or I can email it to you. These are English labs and will be short, stocky, with block heads like the breed standard states by the Labrador Retriever Club. They have the laid back personality the English Labs are know for which make them great assistance dogs. I currently show some of my dogs in conformation, rally, obedience, and agility.

We’ve had a lot of dogs but none so handsome, smart and loyal as Josey Wales, the black lab we bought from Misty Woods 3 years ago. Hardly surprising with Joker as his father and Grace his mother. When walking in Forest Park daily and he sees another dog, he lies down respectfully until the other dog passes. I didn’t teach him this or anything else for that matter. My Dolly, an English Labrador, who came to live with me as a 16 month old pup. She is my Angel. She is sweet, loving and past that I'd be bragging. Like any good dog she'll size you up before you get too close, and be your best friend as soon as SHE decides you're no threat. Dolly did not get this way by accident. She is a product of good breeding and the love she received from Tammy and Les, before I was blessed too receive her into my family. My daughter and Son-in-law love her and my grandsons are her pups now. You'll never not be a threat when it comes to them. Misty Woods is the best, period.Submitted by: Michael R. Purchased our male pup Duckie out of Wyatt and Holly at 8 weeks old. Smart, even tempered, very calm nature. Quick to learn and beautiful conformation. Tammy is a great and very responsible breeder, Perhaps her working at a Veterinary clinic and is a registered Veterinarian tech. has a lot to do with it or just her love for the breed. In any case, I highly recommend this breeder. Very happy with my Lab and plan on getting another from Misty woods Labradors again.
