Patrick, an English Cocker Spaniel from Little Dixie Ranch, he is nothing short of Amazing! He is the fourth English I've had and is by far the brightest of them all. He has self taught potty training; will sit and stay for his treats all that in less than five months! He's my little traveling dude as I work around our rental houses, he see's me put tools in the truck he's rearing to go. We live in KC but Patrick is named because he was born the day before St. Patrick's Day not for Patrick Mahomes. Anybody looking to have one of the best dog breeds out there should contact Little Dixie Gun Dogs you won't be disappointed! I'm likely to be getting another one from them very soon.

I have a beautiful French Brittiany, female, out of Belle and Texas Red. Born 10/31/19. She's a bold hunter, full of energy, intelligent, easily trained and feisty. She naturally points and retrieves and did very well on Kansas ringnecks and quail with almost no training. Ran all day. She black and white with lots of roaning so the white looks almost gray. She gets along well with my older labs , she's the boss. Great addition to the family. Debbie and her husband were great to work with, meet me out of St. Louis and saved me a few hours driving

Five year update on Chip, our black and white Epagneul Breton. Hard to believe he’s five already . He is a very solid little bird dog. Points everything from pheasant to ducks to quail. He retrieves everything, including doves, which a lot of dogs won’t touch. He’s pleasant hunting with other dogs but not overly friendly or playful. Great around the house, too. Guards the house at night. Almost reads my mind when I talk to him. Great advice from Harvey in the beginning to train him with praise and treats. Thanks to Harvey and Debbie for advice early on. If I were younger, I would sure get another one.

Cody’s First Season 2020/2021
Here is an update on Cody. Our first season 2020/2021 has come and gone. It started in October when Cody was less than a year old and ended in April. I don’t know where to start, Cody out performed my expatiations, he hunts like as seasoned Gun Dog. I guess he could be considered a natural born hunter. Cody didn’t get any training on birds prior to the season but had a lot of time in the field learning his field commands and staying with me. We hunt clubs in NY and there are no native pheasants so we stock them on weekends. The first day out was on a non-stock day basically to see how he would react and listen in the field. We then started hunting the stocked days and every time out he continued to get better and better and amaze me more and more. Cody will hold a point forever. He also found his share of birds (leftovers) during the week. He is extremely enthusiastic in the field and you should see how excited he gets when we get to the hunting area. After 45 days afield Cody had 168 points and we got 87 birds. He also had no problems when other hunters hunted with us.

Due to COVID we spent lots of time together when he was a puppy. He would sleep in my lap during afternoon naps, go for many short car rides to get him use to traveling. Then there were daily trips to the wooded area by my house where he learned his field commands and numerous walks. I believe that this all contributed to the bond that we have. He no longer will sleep on me in the recliner but likes to lay his head on my lap and sometimes chew on a bone. He still shows his affection with many kisses. For not being socialized due to COVID Cody is friendly to everyone and gets along well with other dogs. We had five other French Brittany’s and Cody makes number six. My wife Gerrie feels that Cody is the smartest one of them all. I don’t know what more to say than he is one heck of a dog. I stay in touch with Harvey and he loves hearing about Cody’s hunting adventures and how happy we are to have Cody. If you have any questions, feel free to call me, 201-385-7605.

We adopted our second female English Cocker, "Piper" from Debbie and Harvey in Feb., 2021. Debbie was a pleasure to work with throughout the adoption process, and personally delivered her to us to ensure her safe transit. I can't say enough about the quality of this pup. She is beautiful, sweet, incredibly bright and, at 4 months, has already formed strong and unique bonds with each member of our family.
The difference in a dog bred and raised in the home setting that Debbie and Harvey provide is everything. She was handled from birth, and was immediately comfortable in our home. I honestly cannot imagine a better companion, and we feel so fortunate to have found Little Dixie Ranch, and Piper. We would highly recommend Debbie and Harvey Griffitt to anyone looking for a highly trainable, healthy and intelligent dog.

A month and a half before Christmas 2019 my boyfriend and I began the hunt for a new family member and hunting partner. My search led us to Little Dixie and Debbie. From the moment I saw "Runner" now "Gunner" We knew he was destined to complete our family. Debbie patiently answered all of our questions and was there at every turn to help us make this happen - she even drove half of our trip to meet us in OH to hand deliver our guy to us. It was love at first site. In the short time it took us to drive him back to NJ we were hopelessly in love. Gunner has grown to be, not just the most beautiful dog I have ever seen, but is also remarkably brilliant and an incredible natural bird hunter. He runs tirelessly in the field for hours and melts us with his love and companionship at home. We couldn't be happier with him or our experience with Little Dixie Ranch. Thank you for breeding such an amazing creature! (And to his Brother Cody in NJ, we'd love to meet up with you!)

Cody, a liver tri-color French Brittany male is now 4 months old. It was all in the timing that he came our way. We have had 5 French Brittanys since 1993 and lost our last male Monti on Jan. 6th. Within days we knew that we could not be without another French Brittany. The search was on and on Jan. 10th I found Cody on Harvey and Debbie’s web site and fell in love with his photos. Seven days later we drove 2200 miles (round trip) to pick him up. Upon seeing him he is even more beautiful than his pictures. Upon picking him up he started licking my face and there was no doubt that he was the one. Cody was basically crate trained when we got him at 9 weeks old and was house trained in no time at all, with no pooping in the house. He is one of the smartest dogs I have seen. Two weeks ago I started whoa training him on his meals and in just two sessions he learned to whoa before he could have his food. I then whoa trained him when he exits his crate and again in two times he got the drift of things and you don’t even have to say whoa when you open his crate door, as he waits for you to release him before he exits. He is fearless and investigates everything. He is also very affectionate and likes to be held and sleeps in my lap. He snuggles and sleeps with Gerrie on the couch and he can be a real suck up. He is friendly with everyone and everyone adores him. One neighbor has labeled him the most beautiful dog on the block. I will keep you posted regarding his progress in the field. Harvey and Debbie are great people.

Chip, a black and white male, had a great first hunting season: doves, sharptails. quail and pheasant. He has terrific prey drive but flips a switch when he comes in the house where he's happy to curl up on the sofa and watch football. I cant say enough good about Debbie and Harvey Griffitt. This is my first dog of this breed and they have been incredibly helpful and patient answering my questions. Sorry I didnt know about the EB breed and Little Dixie Kennel years ago.

LeDuke, the male puppy we received when he was 8 weeks old is now 7 1/2 months old. He was potty trained in 6 days after recieving him. He now obeys all of the following commands vocally, Whoo, Come, Stay and Set plus he heals when the leash is put on. His temperment is wonderful and we couldn't be anymore happier with him than he is right now. Not to mention he is a beautiful dog (complements adore by anyone that sees him). I know of people in our area that have seen him have contacted you for the possibility of purchase of a dog like him. My thanks again for having one of the smartest Brittany dogs that I have ever owned (can't wait to hunt him and he already points and holds the point until released and in addtion he retrieves any thing I throw for him.
