I do not on one of their dogs but I have had 4 come on hunts with my guide service, UNBELEIVABLE. Brett did a fantastic job with these dogs and all I can say is how impressed I was with all of them.

We got Molly from the first Tick x Baili Breeding. We have been nothing but impressed with our dog and Cuivre River Retrievers. Molly is all desire in the field, but she is also nice and laid back. She has an awesome personality and is great with our 1 yr old daughter. Brett always had time for my questions since this was the first puppy I had ever purchased. I would not hesitate to buy another dog from them. We are very satisfied customers.

Brett is awesome! I got my now 2 year old lab Kona from Cuivre River Retrievers. Brett has great dogs and is very helpful. I could call him day or night with any question about what to do or how to handle something when I brought her home and he would always be there to help. He is also very helpful when it comes to training(both basic and hunting). He could have told me to send my pup to him and pay him but he would always take time and help me with my questions.

Overall cant see myself dealing with anyone else when it comes to my dog and future dogs. I have and will always suggest to people when they ask about dogs or training to give Brett at Cuivre River Retrievers a call!

We purchased our pup, Teya, from Cuivre River Retrievers last August and could not be happier with our decision. Teya is a yellow female lab out of the Ricky x Autumn litter who started proving herself in obedience training at only 10 weeks. You can really see her desire to please us every time we work with her. At 7 months, she was eagerly acting on sit, stay, down, fetch, etc…commands from distances of 40+ yards away without any type of check chord or e-collar to reinforce the commands. Her drive for retrieving is incredible. All land and water retrieves are a full-on sprint. Water entries are fun to watch as she seemingly ends up half way to the bumper when she lands. As a member of the family who lives inside the house with us, Teya has great manners and is a pleasure to be around. We and anyone else who meets her loves her company!

Teya, now 8 months old and 55 lbs, is with Brett again for formal waterfowl retriever training. Brett and his wife, Mary, were extremely helpful during both the litter and trainer selection process. Both my wife and I have had many conversations with Brett asking numerous questions about the Labrador Retriever world. They have been great guides to us during this whole process. Needless to say, our family will always have our litters from and training with Cuivre River Retrievers.

Thanks Brett and Mary!

I purhased a laborador retriever puppy from Cuivre River Retrievers last spring and I would not hesitate to recommend this kennel to other buyers.
My dog's registered name is Quivre River's Midnight Sun(call name Sunny). She will be 1 year old this month. She is a healthy dog with a lot of natural desire to retrieve. I enjoy hunting and training with her because she learns quickly and is willing to work with me. Sunny is rapidly developing into an outstanding gundog and we are currently training to participate in HRC hunt tests.
Cuiver River Retrievers is producing some top quality dogs!

Ziva, our CLF, bred by Cuivre River Retrievers is about to turn two years old. She is a very eager leaner and took to training without the need of much more than simple attrition to lean concepts. She has tons of fire when in the field and when testing, but can lay at your feet (or on top of you on the sofa) and be just as content. Ziva's marking ability simply put, is phenomenal. To top it all off, Ziva is one the prettiest little female choco labs you will ever lay your eyes on. If you are considering a lab I highly recommend Brett at Cuivre River as one the first places to look.

I purchased a black female from Cuivre Rivers Kennel last July. Her pedigree was what attracted to the breeding. Riparian windfall and Bretts female, Autumn. She great in the house and loves to retrieve. Quivre River Molly in the Black will start formal training next month with Rick Millheim, owner of Renegade Retriever . There is only one problem with Molly, she is so loving, that my wife does not want to send her away Regardless of her success as copetition dog,Molly will have a home with us.
Molly's attributes are not only due to good breeding, but to the care she received from Brett and his wife. If Brett didn't live 1000 miles away, I would have no qualms about sending her to Quiver Rivers for young dog training.

We bought a 49 day old black Lab pup from Cuivre River Retrievers last August. We named her Maggie. She is our 5th Lab and is working out great so far. She's healthy, smart, very trainable, and everyone comments on what a good looking pup she is. I am a duck hunter and I'm sure she'll be able to take over for our older Lab this next season.
We were very impressed with the overall cleanliness of Cuivre River and the sincerity, knowledge, and friendliness of the Bunk family.

We were to get a puppy from Brett in July of 2010. I was signed up for a black male puppy wich happened to not be born. Brett helped me find another breeder and gave lots of good advice. They were very honest and returned my deposit placed on the puppy. I would recommend cuivre river labs to anyone looking for a good pup from an honest knowledgeable breeder.
