The demeanor of the dogs is excpetional, the environment is impeccable, they are loving people, and wonderful dog trainers. HIGHLY recommend them.Submitted by: Sydney on Jul 23, 2009 My grandma has a black lab. His name in Toby. He is really hyper, but he is 4 years old. Are all of them like that? Because I dont want a hyper dog. But if you know any one who does have a big dog that they dont want send me a e-mail.Submitted by: Melissa on May 26, 2009 My husband and I purchased our black Lab (Otis) from Lapeer Lab Puppies in October 2008, and we couldn't be happier with our decision! Otis is incredibly smart and stunningly handsome. We often get stopped and asked about his beautiful and shiny coat - people always want to know what we put on his fur to make it look so good. But Otis's beauty comes naturally - his parents are both gorgeous dogs! Otis also has an amazing, calm temperament (again, thanks to his mom and dad). Otis completed his "advanced" obedience class and received his Canine Good Citizen at 7 months old. Otis's obedience instructor claimed she'd never seen a Lab puppy as smart and trainable as Otis. We didn't purchase Otis for hunting, however, his retrieving and swimming skills lead us to believe he would have made an excellent bird dog. We're planning to purchase a second black Lab from Randy and Tina in 2009. We wouldn't go anywhere else! They're wonderful people who know an awful lot about Labs. And, most importantly, they breed exceptional dogs. We recommend them HIGHLY to anyone looking for a hunting companion or family pet.Submitted by: Chris Buettner on Dec 21, 2008 One word "Excellent". Randy and Tina genuinely care about their dogs, and their pups. They were very knowledgeable and sincere. I bought the last pup from the litter at 15 weeks of age. They had already pretty much had him housebroke. He retrieves well, and is already working with whistle commands. The pup looks amazing, and is very well socialized both with other dogs and humans. Can't wait to get started on hunt training and testing !Submitted by: Beth and Bret on Dec 04, 2008 We purchased our chocolate male (Drake) on October 11, and we couldn't be happier. Randy and Tina made the whole process very easy. My husband and I had been looking for a pup for about 2 weeks and when we found Lapeer Lab Pups we knew we had found what we were looking for, then when we talked with Randy we knew we had made the right choice.Drake is very smart he was fully potty trained at 11 weeks. He sits, lays down, and retrieves on command. We taught him to sit and lay down on two seperate days and it only took us about 10 minutes. He is also a very lovable dog. We can't say enough about Lapeer Lab Pups we would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a smart, beautiful, and quality lab. Submitted by: Steve Queen on Nov 06, 2008 I purchased a Chocolate female Oct. 11, 2008 from Randy and Tina. I am quite pleased with the quality of this pup. Each pup I handled accepted my dominance completely. It was a difficult decision to pick just one. The parents were on site and were very well kept with excellent temperment. The kennels were very clean. The socialation Randy & Tina had given these pups was amazing. My pup now is 10 weeks old and has been very attentive and easy to train. At 7 weeks I was excited with the interest she demonstrated towards a pheasant wing. She is now 10 weeks and will retrieve and drop on command. My vet was also pleased with the quality of my pup and told me I had found a very good breeder. Submitted by: Jason on Mar 19, 2008 I purchased a male chocolate lab (Gunner) from Lapeer Lab Puppies last November. Randy and Tina were great. I really wasn't sure if I would have enough time to train Gunner into the type of gun dog that I wanted. To my surprise he has been very easy to train. His temperament is perfect for training. He is calm enough to focus and learn quick. Also he is very excitable and has excellent drive. Gunner is only 6 months old and very advanced for his age. He is almost a finished gun dog. I think these attributes are a direct result of the dogs genetics. I really liked the fact that they were not constantly turning out puppies. They seemed concerned about putting out quality dogs over quantity. |
