About Jed's Kennels
My husband and I have owned and bred GWP'S since the mid 60's. We breed for preformance and disposition. Our dogs hunt, do agility, conformation and obeience, a truly versatile dog. We only breed 1 litter a year. Our dogs are all health tested and hips must be good or better with OFA. Our puppies are only sold to people that will let them be part of the family. We screen potential owners very carefully. We also have recently started owning and breed standard poodles for preformance. We are currently participating in Hunt tests,agility and obedience with them.

In the winter of 2003 we decided to get our first hunting pup. Being new to the sport i was immediately put at ease after visiting Barb and Ed, two people who are extremely passionate about the GWP breed and matching pup with family. My wife and i fondly look back at our years with our black and white GWP, Cooper, knowing he changed our lives and now more than ever appreciate the time Barb and Ed took for a "newbie".

We thought we were buying our first German Wirehaired Pointer from Jed's Kennels. What we got instead was a wonderful relationship and a wealth of information from Barb and Ed Tucker along with the sweetest dog imaginable. When returning from the field last week, Buck gently tried to remove the pickers from my pant leg with his teeth. Buck is a dearly loved member of our family and has amazing natural hunting skills.
The Tuckers are an extraordinary couple who invest in the lives of the people who purchase GWPs from them because they care about the life their dogs are going to have. We are grateful for our dog and for the help and guidance we have received from the Tuckers.
