Submitted by: Jim Bowlby on Jun 24, 2009From the litter of Jazzy bell Danaris our Jenny was what every hunter gets in one lifetime. You are only allowed one good dog in your life as she was it. A natural bobtail, natural hunter, and loved companion. We were blessed for 15 years.
Submitted by: Heather on Jun 10, 2009I got my Auten Brittany on a referral from an avid Brittany lover whom we named Laney. She was the greatest dog anyone could ever ask for. Her intelligence and skill were incredible and she was the best friend I could ever have asked for. Her hunting was great with very little training. She passed last year, but will always be the dog to whom we compare all future Brittanies to. Autens are the only breeder for me from now on. Thank you so much Autens for my best friend.
Submitted by: Lisa Bussell on Apr 02, 2009Our first brittany, a beautiful liver/white male was purchased from Auten's almost 20 years ago! The sweetest, most lovable family dog and all business in the field, the best gundog my husband had ever had, UNTIL NOW! Our 2nd liver and white male,Max, who is now 6 sired by Auten's Gentleman Kane has truly come into himself and my husband has never enjoyed bird hunting more, a bird hunting machine with incredible stamina! Thank you Mr & Mrs Auten for producing dogs beautiful enough to be in the show ring, but let's face it, their heart is in the field!
Submitted by: Dennis Brown on Oct 12, 2008Ron and Carol have outstanding dogs, I got mine a number of years ago and right from the start my dog, Jazz, was with head to the ground and on point on 20 woodcock at 13 months old on her first trip to the UP of Michigan. I new she would be a good dog but I didn't expect her to do that well at 13 months old, WOW! She was the best I had ever seen both then and now. She did it all, corn Phesants to pat's in the woods and worked close and was rock solid on birds. My next one will be an Auten Brit.
