I was searching to see if Beverly is still breeding her prize Labradors as we just lost our beloved Baeleigh this week after almost 15 years of love. She was our third black lab from Whipowil; first was Dillon for 15 years and then Murphy for 14+ years and then Baeleigh! All were intelligent, beautiful, athletic and loving dogs. My sister also had 3 dogs from Beverly as well as one lab each for my brother and other sister. Does anyone know anything?

I wrote a testimonial back in 2011, but I wanted to add to it. We had our Sassafras, a gorgeous yellow lab, for just over 15 years. She was the perfect dog. Kind sweet gentle and sturdy as all get out. She went everywhere with us and loved adventuring. She was my Children’s childhood dog and we all have amazing memories and talk about her often. We had to let her go in October of 2019, but the joy and love she brought to our family will be with us forever. ??

I don't know if Beverly is still breeding labs, I had searched the internet previously for Whipowil and couldn't find them anywhere. I just remembered her name and found this site. We got a chocloate lab from a litter in Spring of 2004, the parents were Magic and Annie. Libby was just about as perfect a dog as you could find. She had the sweetest disposition, loved people, loved other dogs and animals, and she trained so easily. She was by our side from almost 16 years- equal parts friend, confidant, babysitter, playmate, and footwarmer. She passed in 2020 and we have another dog now, a black lab, but we think of her often and still miss her. I hope Beverly sees this and is happy to know her pup had an awesome life with us, with many adventures and more happiness and laughter than we could every repay.

We have our black lab since 2010 and he is the calmest, smartest most wonderful dog I can possibly imagine. He was very easy to train and we certified him as a therapy dog, so he can visit elderly homes with my daughter. If we ever have a second dog, I hope Bev will still be around breeding labs. This is a wonderful breeder with great healthy dogs in Stoneham, ME.

We have had 3 of Bev's labs and are soon to get a puppy. The dogs all had the best personalities, super smart and the sweetest animals on the planet. Would not get a Lab from anyone else.

I can't say enough wonderful things about the yellow Labrador retriever we got from Bev Chapman. We've had our Sassafras for about 7 years now, and she is a sweet, gentle, loving, funny, angel of a dog. We have had numerous compliments on her beautiful appearance, but nothing compared to the compliments we have had on her temperament. She is incredibly gentle with everyone and is especially good with timid dogs. She is the least dominant, aggressive dog I have ever seen. She is the gentle heart of our family. I would, without reservation, recommend a Labrador from Bev Chapman. She is a caring and devoted breeder who knows how to breed sound, beautiful, good tempered labs.

We found Bev through the Boston chapter of the AKC. Our Ginger is a 10 month old chocolate lab and we couldn't be happier. She is an excellent family pet, good-natured, adventurous and very, very smart. We met Bev twice before taking Ginger home and we were so impressed with her love of her dogs and her care for them. We could not be happier.

We have had the pleasure of owning two labs from Beverly Chapman's Whipowil Labradors. Our black "Fergus", whose life ended last August at 12 1/2, was an absolutely terrific and lovely dog. He was very calm, terribly handsome and very sweet. We HAD to return to Beverly for our next dog. We have not been disappointed with our new chocolate female, "Maddie". At 9 months, she is training very well, is very affectionate and has settled down nicely. We have received many compliments on her behavior and her sound appearance. So.....in my opinion, you could not go wrong with a Whipowil lab.
