We had a wonderful experience with Steve and Kelly. Our very first Brittany came from their Arrow x Beretta litter in 2016. The Foster's kept us updated with pictures and notes on temperament and development each week! Kelly is also a Veterinarian, which gave us added comfort that the pups were being well taken care of. They all appeared well socialized and LOVED. We were even invited to visit before our assigned puppy pick up date so that we could meet the pups. Steve and Kelly have continued to stay in contact with us after we took our pup home as well, making sure we were adjusting. We absolutely love this breed and would definitely recommend SKF Bird Dogs to anyone wanting a Brittany of their own!

From the very beginning I've had a great experience working with SKF Bird Dogs. Steve has been so informative and responsive to all my questions. Throughout the process waiting for my puppy I've been updated and able to spend time getting to watch my puppy grow and develop. My puppy is in good health and I can definitely tell she has been well taken care of. Now that I have her I am getting to experience her great personality and she is a very well built good looking puppy. Steve has checked in since I brought her home and you can tell he truly wants you and your puppy to succeed and he's willing too help in whatever way he can. If you're looking for a Brittany SKF Bird Dogs is definitely a breeder to consider.

When I decided that I was ready to get back into dogs and hunting, I knew that I wanted a puppy out of an outstanding breeding. I set up a search in an eight state area surrounding my home in Springfield, MO. I received several responses from personal contacts and Brittany Clubs, but none of the breeding matches met my criteria. Then I received word about SKF's planned breeding of their SKF Little Miss Beretta, JH, to DC/AFC Beaver's Strait Arrow. The breeding promised to produce top dogs. I contacted Steven at SKF and was received with professionalism all the way. I expressed my desire to have one of his females. The questionnaire that he sent told me right away that Steven and SKF have only the highest and best interest in seeing that their pups go only to the best homes. I was sold. I submitted my deposit and was placed on the waiting list. And believe me, waiting was very hard for me. But finally the day arrived where I would meet Steven and Kelly, and make my selection. They placed all of the female pups on the ground for me to watch. They were all excited and playful and full of energy. However, there was one little girl that was very interested in exploring her surroundings, putting her nose and face into everything. Then Steven put down a pigeon, and when the bird flew the same little exploring girl was all "heads up and eyes on the flying bird". I called for her to come to me, and she did, and the deal was sealed. We completed the paper work and started the 300 mile ride from Emporia, Kansas back to Springfield. We have begun what promises to be a lot of fun, excitement, and birds in the future. I would highly recommend SKF Bird Dogs to anyone interested in getting a pup that would be a great hunter and companion. Steven and Kelly are the class of breeders, handlers, and owners, that one could only hope they run into.

I bought a brittany pup from Steven this past summer and have been nothing but impressed. Steven has been very helpful ever since I bought him. He has kept in touch with us concerned about the health and development of our puppy. Duke has been a good family dog as well as a good hunter. His bloodlines are impressive and it shows in his hunting ability. Very satisfied with the breeder and the dog.

When I learned of Steven's litter I was impressed with Ty and Berreta's breeding. After our experience with Steven and Kelly I was equally impressed with them. The puppies all received excellent care and were handled and loved by both Steven and Kelly. Steven keep us up to date with pictures and texts. He was also very generous with his time since we made several trips to see puppies. We picked a female (Remmie), she is a healthy, pretty, loving girl and shows all the signs of being an excellent bird dog. If I need another Brittany I will certainly call Steven and Kelly, you will not find better more caring people.

We have had a wonderful experience with this breeder, Steven Foster. He is very concerned about the health of the dogs he breeds, and our pup is extremely healthy and full of energy. Steven kept in touch with us via email and phone answering all our questions. He gave us updates on the pups as well as pics so we could see their growth. Steven took the pups out to fields to see which pups were most attentive to hunting. He used homing pigeons to show us their attentiveness to birds. I am big on integrity and Steven has proven himself with me, he came through on everything he promised me. These pups are well bred!

Having first seen pictures of the male and female, and the breeding, we felt this was a good breeding. We had lost a young dog to an accident and we were fortunate to locate Steven and SKF Bird Dogs to bring a new member to our family.
Once I had heard from Steven that we could come get the pup quick arrangements were made from Reno to Kansas City. Steven was kind enough to bring the puppy to the hotel (about a two hour drive) and met me for all the paperwork. Once we saw that the pup wouldn't fit into the carrier that I had brought, he went out of the way to take me to locate one that the puppy would fit - something I didn't expect from someone I had never met but only over the phone.
The little male we brought home is very bold and outgoing. For fun I put him on a chukar wing and after a quick few moments we saw his first point (at least here in Reno). With his background, I'm sure he is going to be a great dog and look forward to hunting over him, getting him into trials, and having a new friend around the house.
Working with SKF Bird Dogs has been a pleasure. I would highly recommend them for not just the breeding of this litter but for the kindness and thoughtfulness they have exhibited. If this litter was any indication of the quality of breeding they strive to attain, I can only see great things ahead of them. I plan on keeping in touch and letting them know how their little guy is progressing in his career.

I have known Steven for over 3 years. I have hunted behind Beretta and she is a dog that anyone would be proud to own and hunt behind. I have watched and judged Ty in field trials and he is impressive. Steven did a tremendous amount of research into different stud dogs resulting in the selection of Ty to breed to Beretta with a goal of improving the breed. Pups from this litter should have excellent noses and a great desire to hunt, which make them superior prospects for the avid hunter or field trial competitor as well as being a great companion.
