We have been raising German Shorhair Pointers since 1989 and have took alot of pride in breeding a calm smart dog that has the desire to please and be good with kids but with enough natural instinct to be an excellent hunter. GSP are alert and very smart! They catch on to things very quickly and love attention. They are not a big dog but are very strong. The average weight for a male is 55-65 and the average weight of a female is 45-55, the average height of a male is 23- 25 inches and the female is 21-23 inches. The size makes it easy for kids to handle the adult dog and makes it easy to take the adult dog along with you in the car or home but the dog is also strong enough to well in the field with hunting. So the dog is large enough to do a good job in the field but small enough not to be too cumbersome with a family.
The color of our pups will vary from solid liver, liver and roan to white with liver spots. The tails of the puppies are docked to one third of its normal length and the dewclaws are removed at birth. We will give them one straight parvo shot and two sets of 5-way shots and deworm them three times before shipping at 8 weeks of age. They will have a health certificate done a few days before shipping which will be done by our local vet. They will be AKC registered and come with a three generation pedigree. We require a $250. deposit to hold your puppy once you have one chosen and the rest will be due prior to delivery. You can use your credit card or bank withdrawal by using paypal. We will arrange for shipping if you desire and the shipping will be paid to the airport when you pick the puppy up. Shipping is ususally $245. depending on the airline used. There are no hidden cost for handling. We will provide the kennel to ship your pup and transport him to the airport. We appreciate if you can leave us feedback so we can post it to our website. I recieved my healthy, happy, beautiful and intelligent GSP on Nov 19,2010. She arrived to us Via airlines. When we picked her up at the airport after her flight, she was in a stable healthy and happy frame of mind. She greeted us as if she new us and when she met the children her tail was moving 140 wags a second. My girl has already begun her training as a family pet and watch dog, and is already responding to simple commands. She has even offered me her paw. We Just Love Her. Thank You Diane and Jason

On June 25, 2010 we purchased a male German Shorthair from Pointers of the Valley. He was born May 7, 2010. He was 6-1/2 weeks old. He is just the greatest pup. He slept through the first night even though he was not with his litter mates and was in a strange place. He is now (July 19,2010) 10 weeks old and he already sits on command and is getting the paw shake down too. He is very smart and seldom barks. Hes the is learning to fetch and willingly brings the object to us. He does not like being in the outside kennel alone so we put our cat in with him & he is fine (not sure the cat likes it). He is pointing the cat and sneaking up on him all the time. He gets along well with other dogs too! He has a wonderful disposition and personality. We almost have him broke of biting and working on not biting and working on not jumping on us. Thanks for breeding such a wonderful pup. Jim is looking forward to start hunting this fall a bit with him.

We purchased our female GSP from the Scholtens in November of 2006. Her name is Elsa and she is fantastic!! We got her at 8 weeks of age and she was house trained in 2 days!!
