POINTERS OF THE VALLEY - Iowa German Shorthaired Pointer Breeders

We have been raising German Shorhair Pointers since 1989 and have took alot of pride in breeding a calm smart dog that has the desire to please and be good with kids but with enough natural instinct to be an excellent hunter. GSP are alert and very smart! They catch on to things very quickly and love attention. They are not a big dog but are very strong. The average weight for a male is 55-65 and the average weight of a female is 45-55, the average height of a male is 23- 25 inches and the female is 21-23 inches. The size makes it easy for kids to handle the adult dog and makes it easy to take the adult dog along with you in the car or home but the dog is also strong enough to well in the field with hunting. So the dog is large enough to do a good job in the field but small enough not to be too cumbersome with a family.
The color of our pups will vary from solid liver, liver and roan to white with liver spots. The tails of the puppies are docked to one third of its normal length and the dewclaws are removed at birth. We will give them two sets of 5-way shots and deworm them twice before shipping at 8 weeks of age. They will have a health certificate done a few days before shipping which will be done by our local vet. They will be AKC registered and come with a three generation pedigree. We require a $200. deposit to hold your puppy once you have one chosen and the rest will be due prior to delivery. You can use your credit card or bank withdrawal by using paypal. We will arrange for shipping if you desire and the shipping will be paid to the airport when you pick the puppy up. Shipping is ususally $200. depending on the airline used. There are no hidden cost for handling. We will provide the kennel to ship your pup and transport him to the airport. We appreciate if you can leave us feedback on our site.
