My son also has one from the litter. My lab is the best pointer and overall gun dog in the areas of Mass. that I hunt. The other hunters practically beg to hunt with me. My lab never liked drills, but I think the trainer must have done something bad to make her reluctant. She will walk to/from piles and will only run for fun casts. Not a field trial dog, but a great hunter. If I miss a pheasant, she will get it anyway. If it runs, she will also get the bird. She is currently 16 months old and already has 4 AKC Master Hunter passes and a JAM in her first AKC Field Trial Derby. I cannot say enough good things about Jason and his kennel. He has wonderful dogs and a top notch training program. I would highly recommend his kennel to anyone wanting a labrador for hunt tests, the duck blind, or the upland fields. |
