Who we are. Mike, Carrie, Mikayle and Carlie a family of bird dog enthusiast. We bought a Vizsla because we wanted a family dog and a competitve field dog. My Grandfather always had English Pointers and I loved the bird dog, but wanted something different. Our family has traveled all over the country competing at all levels of competition and we have been fortunate to have a lot of success at each level.
Our philosophies on raising, campaigning and breeding dogs. We raise all of our dogs indoors. We believe it is important to the development and success of a Vizsla to be with their family. A Vizsla thrives with the comapanionship of their family and we attribute our dogs success to this philosophy. All of our dogs must exhibit the following traits and characteristics before moving to the next level. First and foremost we take all necessary and proper steps to ensure our line of dogs are clean in regards to hip displasia and epilepsy. Secondly all of our dogs must exhibit an excellent temperment. Our bird dogs must endure a lot of training and discipline to compete at the levels we compete and if they do not have a sound temperment, we will not tolerate such a dog. Thirdly a dog must have good conformation, meaning they must be well put together. We are not show people, but a dog must have good sound conformation to be competitive at the highest level in the field. Finaly and of equal importance the dogs we compete and breed will be bird dogs. Lets face it, the Vizsla was bred to be a bird dog and I will not compromise for less. Don't believe those ideals that you can't have a fantastic bird dog that will be your best hunting or field trial partner and yet is your families most cherished pet. We prove time after time there aren't any truths to those ideals.
We have been very fortunate to win two National Championships in the same year with two different dogs.
NAFC FC AFC Pointe Blanc's Rusty Miracle ( Duke )
2008 National Amateaur Champion ( American Field 1hour Championship )
NFC FC Berry's Taking Chances ( Lotto )
2008 National Champion ( AKC 2 part series)
We have also had a lot of success with our younger dogs, Hoosier, Jetta and Hottie. All of these dogs have been competitive in all breed derbies.
Hoosier won the Vizlsa Club of Illinois Field Futurity 2008
Jetta won the Gary Jagoda Midwest Shooting Dog Derby Classic 2007.
Hottie won an all breed 25 dog derby in Ohio 2007.
