I have a red fox lab from midwest k9 and she is best retriever i have ever owned.She is very energetic and loves to work. At a few months old she was respondant to many basic commands. From the first bird see seen she couldn't get enough. She is under 6 months old and has retrieved 6 or 7 different species of duck and also doves. I never had a lab that loved to work and as responsive to birds like her. I have owned 3 other labs that it was real work to get them to where she is at and she is at a much younger age. Even when she doesn't see where bird goes she heads out on my cast in the direction and nose hits the ground and she will hunt until she finds it. I would definitely and highly recommend midwest k9 for pups.Best dog I've ever owned and cant wait to spend many years with her hunting..Jon is a great breeder with great genetics and handles his dogs and kennels with top priority.

Growing up around all type of hunting and pet dogs I decided that my new dog would be a Lab. After months of researching American and British Labs I decided to see first hand why so many loved the British Lab. Met Jon (friends recommendation) with a couple of his started Labs and "Fred". These Labs were everything I heard and read about. Midwestk-9's British Labs blew me away with their obedience and hard driving nature. After that display I ordered my new dog, "TEAK". Explained to Jon what I wanted TEAK for and he said no problem. After his training I received TEAK at 7 months. We got our newest pup from Jon. He was great to work with. He understood the excitement in our household to get her here as soon as we could. He did everything he could and we got her as soon as she was old enough. It was hard waiting with a 4 year old in the house but Jon had the patience to put up with us! Jon and his staff are super easy to work with and have an abundance of knowledge of the dogs they are working with. His training is so precise and broken down into very easy steps for the dogs to understand. I have imported 3 dogs for my properties in the past 6 months and every one of them is top notch and exactly what he described. I researched alot of larger kennels and they did not possess half the knowledge Jon had about his dogs good and bad.
