We live in the Des Plaines River Valley in Northern Illinois, where the Des Plaines and DuPage Rivers meet. We are a home-based occasional breeder focusing on upland hunting dogs for the American foot hunter, yet remaining true to the French standard and the origin of the Epagneul Breton (EB), or the French Brittany as they are commonly known in America.
The puppies arrived the morning of May 16, 2014 and we are still accepting deposits. Puppies will be ready to go home around July 11, 2014. All the information can be found on our website. Photos of puppies coming soon.

I can't say enough about the outstading dogs that Ken and Julie produce from their litters. They love their own dogs and it shows with the litters they have produced. All the puppies are given the best care and love a puppy can get! From day one the puppies are getting the royal treatment. Watching our puppy on the puppy cam (litter from 2014), we were in love with Flash. The puppy cam idea is an awesome idea. You feel up close and personnal with your puppy before you even get to meet him or her! You get to watch them grow and start to see their personality come through the camera! Flash is an outstading dog. Flash's personality and spunk is what makes these dogs special!! I have had the privelidge of being around Gwen, Flash's mother, and she is a very good mommy to her puppies. Everday I tell Flash he is his mother's son! He makes us laugh and loves to snuggle. I could go on and on about this breed and how we love our Flash. Thank you to Ken and Julie for the love and commitment you give to your puppies that come from your litters!

A rating of 5 isn't high enough to describe the puppies from Ken and Julie. I feel incredibly fortunate to have Jasper from Gwen's 2014 litter. I had the pleasure of watching him grow from just a few days old to pick up day on Puppy cam (it'll consume your day!). Jasper is the brightest, most loving dog I've shared life with! He learned very quickly and is incredibly focused on his task. Not to mention, he is the best couch potato companion one could ever ask for. I wish I could have a houseful of these wonderous dogs. Ken and Julie do an amazing job with socializing and training their young pups.

I got Jager from Gwens 2014 breeding. I have never had a better dog and could not ask for a better friend. He is everything a hunting/house dog should be and more. I attribute this the the outstanding breeding and rearing provided by Ken & Julie.
Ken really knows his dogs, and how to provide them a healthy, nurturing first 10-12 weeks. His greatest talents are showcased by the training he gives his dogs, and his commitment to bettering the breed.
You could not select a more honest, forthright, committed person than Ken & Julie. Their pups and breeding are some of he best.

We have a puppy from brique and Gwen, we couldn't be happier; (2016 litter)
The puppies looks are excellent
Gwen and brique 's lineage and natural abilities are outstanding.
Ken and Julie's care for the puppies is stellar.
Being able to watch the puppies on their puppy cam from the start is priceless.
The fact that their whelping box is in a high traffic area means they get good exposure to people, and their other dogs .Gmonh
Thanks to uncle spike, they get early exposure to a dog they are not related too.

I have never seen 2 people give such love, care, and attention to a litter of pups. The time they spend with them is fantastic. I consider myself so very fortunate to have been able to get one of the puppies from this last litter. I only hope I can do this dog justice.

Ken and Julie are some of the most honest and straight forward people you will meet. They have pride in knowing that they own a couple of the best EBs in the country...maybe the world. It is clear they are only breeding to improve the breed. If you get a chance to own one of their puppies, take it! Ken is always willing to take time out of his day for phone calls and emails that you might have. They are very active in the CEB US and the UKC. I highly recommend Des Plaines EBs!
