About Southern Griffons
< we have now moved to IDAHO PUPPIES SUMMER 2023 I have been training dogs for obedience and conformation for over 46 years. We have been training versatile hunting dogs for 20 years. Our dogs are top conformation champions and field tested with AKC and North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association.We hunt our dogsfor ducks, geese, quail, woodcock, pheasants, chucker,and track deer.Both patents come from NAVHDA breeder awards litters and Gemma has a brreeders award for her first litter. Her mom is a GCHS and VC. Our breeding bitches are OFA cleared for hip dysplasia, elbows, eyes CERF, thyroid tested cardiac and KBKB tested.Proven hunting instincts and good temperament tested as canine good citizen certifications.Puppies are well socialized and create trained by 8 weeks, they are micro chipped and vet checked and shots and worming up to date at 8 weeks.they are exposed to poppy tx on grass, gunfire and exposed to pigeons. We prefer to place puppies in family hunting homes, and would like them AKC junior hunt tested and or NAVHDA Natural ability tested. PUPPIES SUMMER 2023

I bought a male Griffon from Lorraine in 2021. “Tule” is everything I could have asked for - & more! He is an excellent family and hunting dog, & is beautifully built. He earned a perfect NAVHDA NA score and several runs toward his AKC JR hunt title at a young age and is training and competing in AKC Scentwork - talk about brains and trainability! Lorraine’s method of raising pups is built from decades of experience and scientific research. All her pups are put through extensive socialization, puppy culture and early neurological stimulation, in addition to being introduced to birds at a young age AND he came home already crate trained! We have a wonderful bitch from Southern Griffons that will be 3 years old in April 2015. Our girl is an excellent hunter, with a never ending prey drive and a fantastic nose. She finds birds that other dogs pass up! The breeder did a wonderful job raising the litter. The pup was very well trained to being on a leash, and was so used to sleeping in her crate at night that we never heard any whining or howling. You will be getting a wonderful hunting buddy and companion if you buy from Southern Griffons.

My family has had hunting dogs for generations and I have never had a bad one. However, my WPG has exceeded all my expectations. I purchased her from Southern Griffons in 2012. She proceeded to hold steady on her first quail at 8 weeks and was water retrieving them at 4 months. She obtained her JH title and passed NAVHDA NA 1 with a perfect 112 points at 10 months. She is now in training for NAVHDA UT and at the age of 19 months began career in the show ring and has now become GCH CH Southern Jes A Li't Hunting Sensation JH and was one of the top ten WPG's in the show ring in 2014. Southern Griffons has been helpful in every area and I could not ask for a better breeder. I highly recommend their griffons.
