Lockwood Brittanys - Idaho American Brittany Breeders

As an avid chukar hunter and dog lover, I have come to cherish and admire Lockwood's Ruby (SR73485701), my five-year-old white and liver, female American Brittany. Ruby has earned my affection and admiration both for her hunting prowess in the mountains and arid high desert plains of Idaho as well as during her interactions in my home with my wife and 3 young children. She has been the rare dog that couples a keen nose and relentless tenacity for pointing and retrieving birds with an enduring playfulness and desire to please and spend time with my family. In short, I can't imagine allowing her genetics to be lost to me. Although I have never entered her in field trial competition, her pedigree includes many very accomplished field trial dogs such as Chubasco II, a grandsire on both sides of her line who accumulated 90 field placements, as well as an American Field Championship title and two Runner-Up American Field Champion Titles. Further back in her lineage are American Brittany Club Hall of Fame inductees: Beans Blaze, Scipio's Little Chick, and Hi Proof Rum Runner as great, great grandsires/dams. Hoping to compliment my female, I have chosen an outstanding sire from the South Carolina region, Split Creek's Night Owl (SR65068606), AKA "Hoot." Hoot is an accomplished NSTRA competitor with an ancestry that has accounted for 10 American Field Champions; 7 Brittany Hall of Fame inductees; and 3 NSTRA Hall of fame inductees which include his sire, Split Creek's Medicine Man; his grand sire, Nolan's Last Bullet; and an Uncle, Windswept's Clay Bullet. Hoot is owned and enjoyed by Gary Thompson, a long time South Carolina Resident who now resides in McCall, Idaho. My plan is to keep one of Hoot and Ruby's offspring as my future pet/gundog and to continue the bloodlines of these two extraordinary animals. The rest of their offspring, I'm proud to offer to you!
