I bought my dog in the spring of 09 from jason & lisa. it was my first time buying a GSP, I wanted a hunting dog but also wanted a companion and that is exactly what I got. when I started looking, Eastern Oregon Gun Dogs was the first place I went to. They were very kind and helpfull. They had all the information I needed and they always kept updated photos. I was number six in line to pic and I still got my number one pic of the litter. My dog trigger has been the best dog I ever purchased. I figgered I had the best hunting dog ever when I saw my dog climb a tree after the bird. when hes outside he might get a little wound up but when he comes in he goes straight to bed and lays down. jason and lisa were very helpful in every way they could be. I am very happy with my dog and Eastern Oreon Gun Dogs.I am looking forward to seeing what there next litter brings.

I have recently purchased a female pup out of the Spring '09 litter and have never been more impressed. The dog herself was well socialized and introduced to live birds and wings and was pointing wings well before i took her home. She has more natural instinct and potential than any 8 week old puppy ive ever owned. Outside of the high quality of dog was the level of professionalism, hospitality and individual attention they gave to me as well as other potential puppy purchasers to make sure they ended up with the dog that best suited them. I have been to many kennels and purchased my fair share of dogs and have never been shown so much individual attention. Whether it was me interested in pictures, pedigree, the disposition of the parents or to come see the litter, they accommodated my every request. This is as top of the line as dogs get and as professional as ANY breeder in the country! I can't wait for the next litter!
Thank You Jason and Lisa

I purchased my German Shorthair "Deuce" from Jason and Lisa in March of 2006. I got him when he was 7 weeks old. He rode on my lap then entire way home. Once we were home in Idaho, Deuce started getting used to his new home by sniffing around our field. I immediately could see that he was a hunter even at that age. About a week later, my family and I were taking a drive and we hit a chukar with the truck. I had Deuce with me and so we pulled off the road and I got the bird and placed it in some grass. I put Deuce on the ground about 10 feet away from it, at first he didn't know what it was but as soon as he caught a whiff of it?..he walked towards it, he stopped and POINTED! At 8 weeks old he pointed! We tossed the bird around a bit more, even into some tall grass and guess what? He retrieved it! He could barely carry it but he brought it back to me?he didn?t want to let go at first but what do you expect being that young. I knew that I had a good dog on my hands then. Since then I have worked with Deuce in our field on obedience and well as pointing and retrieving. He has done well in all aspects. When I take him hunting he minds well and man can that dog run! There is a lot more hunting in him than there is in me. I am ready to go home and he is just getting warmed up.
I winged a bird last winter and it went down in some brambles, so I sent Deuce into the bushes, I was convinced that it was still there. After ten minutes or so of Deuce not seeming very interested and I yelling at him, I finally let him follow the draw below the bushes. Deuce tracked that bird at least 200 yards down the draw and finally caught up with it. The fight was on?the two played a game of tag for another hundred yards, flopping and jumping and finally Deuce got it and brought it all the way back UP the hill and put it at my feet?he knew the bird wasn?t in the bushes all along but minded my commands to keep looking there. Deuce has performed well for me numerous times in the past couple years and I know he will only get better. Deuce has done well on other upland birds as well as waterfowl. For the ducks I have to have him in a vest to keep him warm but he doesn?t have a problem with retrieving in the water.
As far as a family dog Deuce has a great temperament. My son was two when we got Deuce and they have been inseparable ever since. My son lays on him, rides him, pulls him around by his collar (or ears) and he never has even growled at him. Deuce has never been ?high strung? or hyper like other shorthairs. He is just as happy laying on the deck as he is running across a hillside looking for birds. Jason and Lisa have done a great job with their breeding to come up with dog like Deuce.

We purchased 2 German Shorthairs the day they were born. Which was Feb 3, 2006. The breeders were great to work with. We got to see the puppies whenever we wanted and we took them home at 7 weeks. They are great dogs and are excellent bird dogs. The breeders are very loving and have the dogs best interest at heart.
