About Herm's Shorthairs
My dogs are backyard family pets, and very strong hunters. They are large, thick bodied....females 55 to 65lbs.....males 60-70lbs. I usually have black & white and liver & white.  The most popular advantage I hear from people that have my dogs, is they listen. They keep track of their owner, instead of visa versa.  In 29 years of breeding one litter a year, I have never raised a pup that  the owner wasn't completely satisfied with.  The strongest point about my dogs is their desire to please. I have been told they are the most natural hunters and easy to train pups, they have owned. Yet I have never known one to quit hunting, they truly go all day. I commonly am told they are some of the best dogs they have ever seen. Just this fall a 18 year veteran guide that said he sees 2-400 dogs a year, said my dogs may be the best he has ever seen.
