Freedom Fire Gsp's began with the  purchase of American and Import breeding stock of exceptional quality. Our stock represents lines that were closely chosen to enhance the most desirable characteristics of the breed, whether it be to hunt-show-field trial or just a have a great companion. 

Freedom Fire Gsp's is a family owned kennel located at the foot hills of Pikes Peak of Southern Colorado. During the late 70 and early 80's we bred German Shepards. Our fondness for pointing dogs began in after we  hunted behind our friends German Shorthair Pointers in the fields of Kansas. 

Before we purchased our first shorthair, I spent 3 years researching the breed and the various bloodlines  thru out  this country, and many bloodlines from Europe. Tittles and pedigree I looked at closely, but also looked at the characteristics of the blood lines, and characteristics of individual dogs. High  on my list of preferred characteristics were:

 #3. Individual character (personality)

 #4.attitude(competive attitude)

 #5.strong conformation
