At Kern River Kennels our goal is to provide you and your family with a quality companion for you to enjoy in your home and out in the field! Michelle, our children, and I have all experienced countless fond memories with this gentle, family oriented breed of gun dogs. We hope to provide you with the puppy your family has been searching for, one that will give you years of enjoyment, countless stories to tell, and a lifetime of memories.

Tanner and Paige have proven to us to be exactly what is characteristic of a Braque Francais. Trying to describe this breed of dog is difficult in just a few words. The best way I can describe them is that they are relaxed and content in your home, or at the foot of your favorite chair, all year round. The other five, ten, twenty, or 120 days of the year when you are in hunting in the field, Braque Francais' are explosive, driven, and efficient hunters. It is almost too good to be true, but their personalities are completely opposite depending on their environment. They have a high bird drive, remarkable natural ability, and are an awesome site to see working on the field! Both of them have scored a Prize 1 in the Natural Ability test through NAVHDA. Tanners Pennhip score places him in the top 10% tightness of hips.
