About Desert Winds Chesapeake Bay Retrievers

Desert Winds Kennels was established in 1993. We are located north-east of San Diego in the beautiful small town of Ranchita, Ca. Our first Chesapeake came to us from the renowned Chesabar lines, such lines have produced multiple Westminster Kennel Club winners, multiple Champions, multiple field trial winners, obedience title's, therapy dogs and canine good citizens. Desert Winds takes pride in every puppy we produce whether the puppy goes on to be an award winning show dog, master hunter or the best "best friend" you could ever have. We strive to find the best homes for our puppies and the best puppies for their new owners.
