Submitted by: Catherine Nichols on Dec 16, 2015After growing up with a French Pointer, I knew I wanted my first puppy to be a French Pointer. Grace Kennels was highly recommended by another French Pointer breeder that my parents dog came from. Darnell and Carrie were wonderful to work with. Darnell loves the puppies and stays with them 24/7. When it comes to sending puppies home, Darnell knows his puppies and does his best to tell you anything you want to know about their personalities and attempts to match you up with the best puppy for you. I live in NC and was unable to go to Alabama to pick out the puppy I wanted prior to bringing her home. I felt like Darnell was just as excited as I was for me to be getting my first puppy. He sent me videos and pictures of the girls I had to chose from, as well as talked on the phone with me to answer all my questions and help me feel confident about deciding on a puppy. My puppy Parson is now almost 8 months old and is so much fun! She passed all of her puppy wellness visits with no problems at all so I know she is healthy and was well cared for by Darnell and Carrie. Parson loves playing with other dogs, is eager to please, and is ready to cuddle up whenever she gets the chance. I could not have asked for a better first puppy experience! I highly recommend Grace Kennels and would get another puppy from them in a heartbeat if I could!
Submitted by: Brooke Sharpe on Oct 26, 2015I simply cannot say enough about how wonderful Darnell and Carrie are. We have a girl from them named Gracie. She is the smartest, sweetest, most beautiful dog I've ever known. Carrie and Darnell made the process so easy and wonderful. They were always quick to answer any questions and help in any way they could. When I flew to Birmingham to pick her up, Darnell picked me up, took me to lunch and helped me work through all of the rest of my questions/concerns. Not only did I get such a lovely dog, but I truly enjoyed the process and getting to know such a salt of the earth couple. If you are looking for an amazing pup, get one from Grace Kennels and you will not be disappointed!
Submitted by: Adam Thomas on Oct 24, 2015We got a great puppy from Carrie and Darnell. Before we decided on a breed, my wife spent 30+ minutes on the phone with Carrie, learning about their experiences with Braque Francais. We enjoyed seeing all the pictures and videos that they posted while we waited for our puppy to get old enough to come home. They also did a good job of staying in touch with us after we got Scout home.
Our puppy is a year old now and she is truely a machine in the field and a sweetheart in the home.
Submitted by: Amelia Brockelbank on Oct 24, 2015Purchased a female from Carrie & Darnell a little over a year ago. I can't say enough about how knowledge & helpful they are. It was a pleasure to purchase Moxie from them. She has been a wonderful addition to our active family. She gets along with our Gordon Setter & GSP. Moxie is showing great promise in the field. She travels well, hikes & goes on a daily jog. We could not be happier & plan on purchasing another from Carrie & Darnell.
Submitted by: Justin Knox on Oct 23, 2015I had my first experience hunting with Braques while hunting with Darnell. After that hunt I got "on the list" and purchased a female from Grace Kennels. Our Milly is a wonderful companion for my family and for me in the field hunting quail. I would surely recommend them!
Submitted by: Leon LeMoine on Oct 22, 2015We got our Braque Francais from Grace Kennels two years ago. Carrie and Darnell are some of the nicest, most down to earth people I've met. They have beautiful Braques Francais parents, that produce great pups. My dog, Jacques, fits the description and breed standard to a tee! He has been very easy to train, and has turned out to be a great hunter, family dog, and companion.
I couldn't be happier with my Grace Kennels Braque Francais!
Submitted by: Larry Wright on Apr 24, 2015We purchased the last female out of Grace Kennels October 2014 litter. I have to admit, I knew little about the breed. A nephew exposed me to the Braque's. He directed me to this web site and to these breeders. Due to the popularity and the scarcity of this new kind of hunting dog, I expected to have to wait another year before I could get one. After one email to Carrie I found myself in phone contact with the most professional and most personable kennel owners I have ever dealt with. Their kindness and knowledge is unequaled. There are not enough praises to express how unique Carrie, Darnell, and their dogs are. Whether you are in the market for a dog or just seeking information. Don't hesitate to contact them. You will not be disappointed. Our dog "Bay" is everything they said she would be .... and more.
Submitted by: Erick Schaefer on Dec 11, 2014Darnell and Carrie are two of the nicest down to earth people you could ever meet. They genuinely care about their pups as if they were their own. We just recently got a male pup from them named Double and he is an awesome little guy. He loves being around everyone in the family and really loves to play with my 2.5 year old GSP. He is extremely intelligent and for a 9 week old pup he has shown some great instincts for hunting. We have already started taking walks in the woods here in Maine and he absolutely loves it. I can't wait to work him on woodcock this spring. If you want a Braque Francais you can't go wrong with a pup from Grace Kennels.
