I bought a beautiful male from Earline Smith - his name is ADAM. He is now four months old and the smartest Boykin in the land. He knows sit, come, stay and I am teaching him to heel. He is out of Gauge and Cammie, he has a wavy back and curly ears and golden eyes. He follows me everywhere and I love him to death. He has not touched my Christmas trees in the house or fake poinsettias. He learned "outside" for his business in three tries and he runs to the sliding door and looks at me. IS THAT BRILLIANT? The entire Smith family is a blessing to me, Adam and my girl Bo who fell into depression when her 16 yr. old Boykin, Dani, passed, but Adam has climbed over Bo, wrestled her, and they play endlessly. THANK YOU ADAM (Son), FRANK, EARLINE, AND ALL 17 BOYKINS IN THE SMITH FAMILY.

Bought a french britt pup out of Griff and Catfish in june of 2014. Best thing I've done in. Our pup has given me ( us ) a great jjoy as part of our family, and one of the most pleasurable and exciting dogs I haver trained. I live in the northwoods of maine, and the grouse and woodcock hunting is very good. I have trained this dog on ALL wild birds. I will be contacting Adam for the purchase of another pup in the near future. Hands down, the best kennel I have ever delt with. Pictures will follow as soon as the 2015 bird season winds down. Sincerely, Bob Brooks

Simply Outstanding. I picked up my Girlkin in DEC2012. What a Joy! Earline is not only a great breeder, she's just a wonderful woman with a beautiful family and outlook with her Boykins.
She helps you pick what's best for you with your interest in mind as well as the puppy.
My LBD has her Started Certification and on her way to more challenges. The greatest joy though is just running with her and spending time.
Highly recommend a puppy from the Smith's.

We got "Scout" from the Smith's on December 1st, 2012 at eight weeks old and our home will never be the same again. He has taken over the hearts of everyone who meets him and is now an inseparable part of our family. Adam Smith was an absolute delight to work with in picking a puppy and I have already recommended their kennel to several people interested in a Boykin. This "little brown dog" is a treasure with our two small grandsons and I can't quite decide who gets tired first, the boys or the puppy. I am looking forward to next year's hunting season with renewed enthusiasm and know that Scout will be an absolute star.

We got our Boykin from the Smiths and LOVE him he is so smart, sweet, and energetic he is very well adjusted for all ages, dogs and personalities. I cant imagine ever having another breed. I have seen several since we got Lucky and I believe he is the most beautiful Boykin I have ever seen. We got him for the kids and hubby to hunt but he is my dog! Now I even go on duck outings to watch him work!

My husband Mike found Earline and her puppies and reserved a female for me. Earline was a joy to work and talk with. It was easy to tell that she really loved her little brown dogs! Miss Belle aka Brownhowler's Sarah Palin arrived 3 days before Christmas. She was a Wonderful gift. I have enjoyed everyday with her. She is just beautiful. I love the breed so much that we have another little girl who will be coming to live with us at the end of March, just in time for my birthday. Maybe next Christmas will bring me another Smith Boykin. Thanks Earline for your great puppies. Sherry U

Earline (Smiths Boykins) was recommended by another Boykin owner. The care and love Earline showed for her Boykins just reinforced our decision on where we would choose a pup. His name is Eli. Earline was up front and answer all our questions. She kept us informed on when the pups were born and how they were progressing, wonderful folks. Thanks Earline for making a difficult decision easy.

Great breeders. We got our Maggie from the Smith's back in the spring of this year and would buy another dog there in a heartbeat. Word of caution: Please research these dogs before you buy one. They may not fit your lifestyle. Boykins are not for everyone. They are extremely active and need regular exercise and plenty of attention. That being said, they are fantastic little dogs and we wouldn't trade ours for anything.

We couldn't be more pleased w/ our Molly. We got her March '07 and she is thriving. The Smiths were wonderful, excellent communication and she has a lovely place for her dogs.
Our little brown dog has stolen our hearts!

I got Jinx 4 years ago from the Smith family---she is wonderful----full of energy like most boykins but a beautiful dog and so much fun----she is always eager to play outside but will hop up on your lap to watch tv too---would highly recommend Smith Kennels and would love to get another puppy from them eventually.
